5 RisposteI just don't say the pledge because I don't believe in brainwashing
-
I'm not enough of an edgy teenage weeb to do that.
-
I say Satan loud and clear.
-
To those butchering the pledge, why?
-
No I don't pledge to a failing country and a imaginary person m8

...one nation, under Joe Pesci...

I say the Pledge loud and clear. I'm not very religious and don't really believe in some form of a Surpreme Being, but I still say "under God" because -blam!- the Soviets.

Modificato da Jack: 4/14/2016 3:20:05 AMI just say the original one Edit: not the original one, the 1923-1954 one
-
Nope. I just stay quiet during that part. Used to infuriate my teachers.
-
The pledge of what??
-
*puts on an antic disposition* I say god the odd time that I have to sing the Canadian national anthem.
-
13 RisposteNo, I don't, but not for the reasons you may think. There are four reasons: 1. It isn't the original version. The "under God" part was added in during the Cold War to separate America from the "godless Commies". 2. It directly violates the First Amendment. 3. It's false. We are not "one nation, under God". There are dozens of religions within the US, as well as people without one. 4. It's ironic. Saying, "one nation, under God, indivisible" instantly divides the American people.

3 RisposteI just mumble the bullshit they tell me to say and move along. Just another phucking brick in the wall.
-
I'm just honestly wondering when does the opportunity even come up to say the pledge? I haven't even heard it in years
-
1 RispondiI don't say it. It's -blam!-ing stupid.
-
*Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* Yea of course, why wouldn't I?
-
2 RisposteNope. I always said it wrong. Never noticed it was god until 6th grade
-
1 RispondiThis thread is full of edgy teenagers on the fast track to a life long career in fast food and government handouts.
-
Here's how I do it: *mumbles* UNDER THE SUN!!! *silence*. (.com)
-
They probably don't even stand up because they are just so cool and edgy!
-
I stopped saying it when I learned that the original does not include god at all.
-
I don't say the pledge at all.
-
I don't say the peldge
-
Man of God. I do understand the need to separate Church and State so I wouldn't mind if they took it out. However, I'm adding God when I say it because it is my history. But... Before you do anything with something as minor as that, you better get the whole marriage situation worked out. Priorities
