Now I understand why some of the Founding Fathers were leery of trusting the vote to the masses.
The man is playing you for a sucker. This is just all one big Reality TV show to him.

They were leery because of people voting to give themselfs money. Aka Bernie supporters.

Perhaps only people with a suitable education should be able to vote? Associates degree or higher, or a trade? Something that shows the person is capable of learning and making informed decisions
-
I thought of that, but college costs money, and that would basically only let those who can afford college vote. I agree thiugh, people need to be more educated about politics
-
There are ways to get college paid for. Also community college is free, people just don't know how. Look into the American opportunity tax credit. I received 100%, plus books, of my tuition back in taxes for being a half time student. You also need to be an independent, but I think your parents can sign up for the credit.
-
I say a test where you have to answer questions about each candidate to ensure you're informed on their stances. I didn't go to college, but I'm a pretty bright guy and will be making an informed decision at the polls.

I disagree
-
I know...and that's what so sad.
-
What's sad is you allow your decisions to be influenced by others.
-
No. That would be your situation. Not mine. Everyone who I vote for has to EARN my vote, and demonstrate to me that they are responsible enough, and level-headed enough to be trusted with power. Donald Trump is the last human being on Earth I would ever trust with real power. I've watched his dog-and-pony show for going on 30 years. ...and it only gets bigger and more shameless with each passing year.
-
He earned my respect when he didn't act politically correct to please the elite.
-
But that's his game. People are upset at the establishment, so suddenly this successful outsider comes in to save the day, and preached what people believe to be th3 while and entire truth
-
Actually, Trump has been talking about this since the 90s bro. Go check out his interview with Opera.
-
...and that's precisely how he's manipulating you. He's smart enough to understand how unstable the Reagan coalition is right now....and smart enough to say the angry, impractical, borderline racist things that will appeal to the authoritarians within the party. Because he knows those people control the votes in the GOP primary process...and saying all the things that will turn off more reasonable voters, will only make him more popular with those voters. Simply because he gets to say the things they wish they could, but can't get away with saying anymore.
-
Mainstream media is wanting you to believe Trump is manipulating GOP voters. A lot of his support comes from independents and even some Democrats. I don't believe he's said anything borderline racist. I see him saying things that needs to be said that needs action. Immigration is out of control and has to be controlled or else we are going to be like other 3rd world countries. I think your problem is you listen to too much mainstream news.
-
Since you cited immigration, tell me how Trump's wall is going to solve the problem.
-
It was never the problem solver, it was only part of it. If you were a person that was genuinely interested in Trump and his policies, I wouldn't mind detailing it. You're not, though.
-
The wall is no solution, in part or in whole. In the time it takes to build, we could attempt to fix the immigration system.
