Will not release this year, and that these bullshit mini-events will be the norm for the foreseeable future... If that is true, then it is official... Destiny is dead.

So what if its delayed? Should be better than pre maturely releasing it like destiny 1 right? Everyone bitched because destiny came out as a half assed game so if they can take more time and perfect destiny 2 then i wouldn't even mind.

3 RisposteMy advice to anyone that reads it would be to not believe anything until Bungie actually says something about it.
-
Kotaku? Isn't that an insult?
-
Well, my neighbor's cousin's dog's yoga instructor's babysitter's doctor's second uncle, twice removed, works for Bungie and told me otherwise.

let the flood of people who actually think this is real begin...

18 RisposteModificato da Shadowjack: 1/23/2016 1:21:54 AMGotta give Kotaku credit, they're holding on to that 2012 timeline when it's been changed for all it's worth. Also: a game that has not been given a release date can not be truly said to be delayed. The assumption that Destiny 2 would drop in September 2016 because of an old timeline does not mean it was always going to drop then.

Modificato da CDizzy: 1/23/2016 1:33:59 AMDestiny has been dead since week 1 but something keeps us here to play...
-
4 RisposteYeah... cause there was totally an announcement from Bungie about it even existing...
-
1 RispondiBut there is going to be another expansion pack because of the delay :)
-
That was a great read. And yes, Bungie has effectively killed their own creation because of their relationship with Activision. I played the beta and was hooked. I've got everything that has been released. I have yet to play all the content, being a casual player, but I do like the game. Just do not get what Bungie is doing.

Unless bungie wants to lose half their player base, they will come out with a new game this year.

5 RisposteYou seriously believe this article? All I have to say about Kotaku is that I have never heard of them before people started praising them on the forums. From the articles I have seen posted here, all of their articles consist of biased opinions and theories that have no sources other than "our guy that knows Bungie." All of the BS the deliver to people like, "Confirmed DLC will be free in Y2 and paid for by Microtransactions," or "There will be no Free DLC in Y2 and everything will be paid for," or "Bungie is lying to its customers," or my personal favorite after listing the previous "Destiny will have no DLC at all and will only have 'events' that are based on Microtransactions." None of this shit was ever true. They say that their guy who knows Bungie says shit that later, Bungie confirms is false when revealing new shit. I can quote from this article here, that after saying "Bungie is delaying Destiny 2 until next year according to our friend who knows Bungie ... And it seems that no one at Bungie even knew that it was to be delayed." How does it make sense that a company is delaying unrevealed content and doesn't even know it. Stop buying into this drama seeking Bullshit. None of what they have said about Destiny has ever been true.

I'm calling bs on this one. Your basically wanting to loose half your player base and streamers.

This kot guy is a joke they just lie to start fires.

5 RisposteThere have been rumors circulating on popular gaming websites that the next iteration of Destiny (whether that be Destiny 2 or another expansion) have been delayed; that the release has been postponed from a September 2016 release that Bungie was planning. Now I'm not here to debate the credibility of said reports, but when we start hearing rhetoric like this then it typically means there is some truth to it. I'm sure that in the next couple of weeks, Urk or Luke Smith or Lars or someone not named Deej or Cozmo will be in the update explaining how there was never a plan to release a sequel this year. How leaked info or data mined content is never an official announcement. They'll feed us some story about how Bungie has this grand plan and they are hard at work on a sequel that they'll announce at some future point. They'll expect us to act like fools and buy every word they blow at us. They'll continue to play things close to the vest because they know they can't promise us a thing. They know they can't deliver on their goods because when have they? Time and time again we get this sob story about how it takes time and resources and they don't have good tools to do regular updates and blah blah blah. I remember when they promised to buff certain exotics in vanilla Destiny, it took them three months to release that update. I remember when I bought the season pass, it was advertised that both expansions would have Raids, and we know how that ended up right. I remember when they advertised silver and how that would fund the live team for more regular updates and now we get an update maybe once a month. I remember the first week I had Destiny, we had the Queen's Wrath event. It was awesome! You completed her bounties and then she gave you a mission that was like a nightfall and at the end you were guaranteed gear or weapons. I remember thinking to myself how awesome that was, I figured hey if the game is going to be like this where we get special events and the developer interacts with us on this level then I'm really in for a treat! We've never had anything as cool as that event since then, and you know the funny thing was that as a community we begged to get that back. Now I've read stuff where Bungie is contracting with another company to help make their game; additionally they've had to delay the release dates. I'm just wondering; what is going on over there guys/gals? You all are a big company, you should be capable of managing this game, but you aren't. It is apparent to us your customers that you aren't managing it. We've gotten a mixed bag of a product from day 1. Please get it together. Management I'm looking at you, you are failing. You guys at the top are the ones who've got to pull it together, and please for the love of Pete don't act like we're morons. Don't come out and blow off all the reports with bull malarky, just be honest. Tl:DR, reports do have a level of truth to them, Bungie needs to be honest with us their consumers and get their acts together.

Im okay with this, i think 2 years is too short. We need more time.
-
Because kotaku have always been reliable.
-
-
Wow. They better release some story DLC in the meantime.
-
lol kotaku

1 RispondiEverything that has ever been leaked about Destiny has been true. Except that time line. But I'm convinced that it was in fact true, but they changed it to make money because no one was buying their game.
-
1 RispondiWho gives a -blam!- about kotaku? They arent Bungie. They don't know whats happening in development
-
Kotaku are bipolar. But id have to say they need to make destiny 2 gigantic. They need to take their time
-
1 RispondiIt's because they're working so hard releasing all this top notch content for TTK
