Holy shit this shit helped
So I'm a average to below average crucible player (0.95 KD) and I've been playing without a working headset (no game audio from the headset). But on Monday I decided to buy a headset (HyperX Cloud II) and wow, first game my aim was sloppy (every first game ever) but just due to the added situational awareness I still got a 1.55 KD. And then a few games later I got caught between a group of 2 and a group of 3. Me and the group of 2 go on to mercy the group of three and I ended that with a 4.5 KD.
TL;DR buy a f[b]u[/b]cking headset

With destiny you don't need a headset. You have a radar. Footsteps aren't even that loud, but in CoD, they really help!

Makes no difference other than communication, do u not have TV volume? in fact head sets annoy me more than help. Stupid big things with wires everywhere, -blam!- te wireless ones, such bad quality unless u wanna fork out 250 quid. If u think try help then power to u bro.

I usually have 0 volume, and according to destiny tracker I have an average 1.8 KD. I think I'm doing decent.

Omnigul, I'd suggest changing your shield to void or solar (void would probably be best). Too many people running around with Zhalo in pvp, I'm sure you'd die less if your shield wasn't arc ;)
