Why do people who suck at PvP, even play PvP?

I'm honestly trying to figure out why people like this play Crucible? Do we need a ranking system or something? I'm more disappointed in the amount of games so far I've lost because the team I get put in can't get above 10 kills. So glad you damn randoms can't go into ToO and get carried like this.
How are you guys saying "To have fun."
I don't think getting killed frequently is fun... getting kills is, dying isnt.

Seeing as you guys speak of bounties and exotic bounties (thorn) it still doesn't answer my question about the other players who go into pvp for non-bounty related reasons. Sure you want to play PvP instead of PvE but they should at least have something to separate the Good players vs the bad. Seeing as they can't even separate the players with bad connection with the good connection players. I'm TIRED of playing with someone who is shooting a wall and magically kills me.
Some of you guys reply with out even reading the whole thing, I doubt you guys will see this as well.

Pretty simple really. There's never been any real incentive to do good in pvp as the rewards are totally RNG. Added to that you get crucible marks for losing as well and there you go. Obviously there's the other side of it as well for example the people who genuinely want to improve at pvp, those doing bounties and those trying to improve grim score

I just need crucible marks, when I don't need em, I don't even touch the crucible, unless iron banners around. I'm not [i]awful[/i] at it, but my KD is usually .80-1.25

To me, though I'm not very good at PvP, it all boils down to being a game. For me and many others, it's about fun. I'm not competitive online. Not passing judgement on those that are (I have friends that are), but that's not for me. Some matches, people just have my number and own it, hard lol. It can be impressive the way some just own the match or room. And props to them.

Because they want to have a good time. Maybe they dont care about winning, loosing, killing, or dying. So shut up and let them play. They're easy kills for you anyway.

I agree. Some people just simply have no thumbs or hands and play with their toes. I can't explain it. I hardly play crucible though but I'm not awful at it.

Practice mainly, but the .02-.2 kds have no excuse at all... I used to play crucible as if i were playing cod, battlefied, or still in pve. Bad move on my part as i found mobility and always changing approaches a necessity I guarantee u that over 95% of those players DON'T fully use the game mechanics and are sitting ducks most of the time. Major skill gap happens when u do
