They added deterministic recoil in 2023 during Season of the Witch. This means that a higher stat isn’t always the go-to. Sometimes +10 is better, sometimes it’s +30. It just means you should look at the recoil patterns and try out different values. It makes some guns feel really nice (Kept Confidence, Sacred Providence, Chroma Rush, etc) And it makes some guns feel worse without correction (Resounding, Division, world drop stasis mg)

No, it's not broken. They changed it to deterministic recoil, which is supposed to make it more predictable, but I'd argue that the previous system was more predictable - Where anything ending in a 5 was more vertical, and 100 was perfectly vertical. But now, I have a Belisarius-D with 100 recoil, but the first two shots always go to the right, then it becomes more vertical. But if I use the other barrel and stock, I can get 89 recoil, where the first two shots are actually more vertical, but the shots after that are more to the left. Which is actually better than 100, because those first two shots matter the most.
