If KD is what you’re trying to increase, weapon choice should be your main focus. Hand cannons and pulses are the strongest choices right now, but any weapon with range should be enough. If you’re hiding in the back of the map, you’re less likely to get hit. Players using sidearms and other close range weapons will likely have a lower KD as it’s a high risk, high reward playstyle. If you want to see an example of this, watch a streamer’s video that says something to the effect of “THIS SIDEARM IS SO OP” and watch them struggle. The entire time they’ll complain about every weapon in existence as they get stomped (unless they’re crutching RDM hip fire BS). I’ve always preferred close range combat, but that usually means sacrificing your KD to make a good play for your teammates. Get comfortable with a hand cannon and your KD will increase. I know mine did. Just please remember, KD is NOT a direct reflection of skill. Don’t worry too much about it. Just play and have fun. If you die, you die. No big deal.
