Then don't do it. No is forcing you to. Also, it's called rushdown. Not do it at your leisure. Don't do a boss rush if you don't want to deal with a timer, and all of those bosses have the same exact mechanics they did in the missions they are in.

Feels less like a boss rush and more like a boss crawl with how long immunity phases are. That Riven illusion needs to be removed and there is no reason enemies should one-shot people, especially with max resilience.
-
As I just said, the bosses still have their exact same mechanics that they had in the missions. Why is it now a problem? Is it because there is more than enough time on the timer or something extremely stupid?
-
Some bosses are designed fine enough for a boss rush type mode, but characters like Crota and that fake Riven are not designed well. The fake Riven gives barely any time for DPS and has quite a wind-up for her attack so it eats up time. Not to mention it is AoE so it can still hit you behind cover. As for Crota, the sword does do a good amount of damage to him, but there is no reason he should one-shot players. I was trying to do a run and I got hit at the outer edge of his slam while my teammate was right on top of him, causing said slam. I got one-shot despite having max resilience while my teammate took less damage despite being directly hit by him. I have seen far more balanced boss rush modes in other games in which while some bosses can do a lot of damage and sometimes even one-shot you, there are means to counter it. D2 can't even do that properly anymore and sometimes even one-shots players for no good reason while giving the pop-up of Killed by the Architects.

The only problem with crota is the people who are too dumb to now know a mechanic that's been a thing for over 8 years. Riven is perfectly fine.
-
No the problem with Crota is he can 1 hit you when you go to try and stun him. Come on man. You’re being too salty about that.

Modificato da Salty-47: 3/15/2025 5:42:55 PMIt's a boss. Should he be able to one hit? No. He also doesn't 1 hit me unless I'm standing right underneath him and didn't time my attack before he attacked. It's not that bad and certainly isn't a problem. As I've already said, if it wasn't a problem in the mission version, why is it now a problem in an event mode that doesn't stay permanently?
-
Ummm EXPERT level maybe?!?!?
-
Do people just ignore the modifier for the mode? It literally says it gets harder. Towards the end of normal, it would be expert difficulty, and for expert, it would be towards gm difficulty
-
Ok. I don’t think you’ve thought about this. They have tied getting platinum and Guardian Games to EXPERT. So while no one is holding a gun to your head…. You are in fact, in a way forced to do it.
-
Not really. All getting platinum does is give you a few extra rewards, which isn't required for any of the event.

In what world is it okay to allow a one-shot that isn't even a wipe mechanic, let alone in an activity with limited revives? While not understanding the mechanic is somewhat fine for me other than the limited revives thing, I'm not really going to yell at people unless they would be etremely dumb with fights. I will get mad when the game starts pulling BS like one-shots for no good reason. As for Riven, I don't see how her whole thing of almost no time for damage is fine. If she had a bit of a longer damage phase between attacks, I would be a bit more okay with it, but the fact she takes forever between attacks and her next attack takes barely any time to ready is what annoys me. Having a timer along side that is basically just wasting the player's time when some bosses are still vulnerable while attacking in comparison.
