the entire dlc is trash.
final shape has ruined the game. it’s not fun. it isn’t challenging either. it’s stupid. the people that go through this garbage will get the titles and stop playing and normal players won’t attempt any of it.
root of nightmares is the best raid bungie ever did because it allows players to go in there and raid and have a good time. sheer numbers tell us that. but don’t tell that to the corporate bootlickers defending bungie on every terrible change they’ve made.
this dlc trashed the game. it’s garbage now. very frustrating.

I mean even if they check your raid report they only have like 2 seconds to see before the privacy lock bumps them off.

it was bad because of the story AND the game changes which the joegoroth guy actually got fixed. towards the end it wasn’t bad at all. i warned all the titles once they made many quality of life changes. but now the game has been rendered nearly unplayable. it’s awful. whoever embraced this ridiculous identity did a terrible disservice to the game. final shape is trash.

for some but the numbers tell us a different story. there’s lots of engagement with that raid. list of people play it. lots of people take other people through it. that’s a success. hate it but that’s the reality. the failure going forward is that final shape is trash dlc. unapproachable and very difficult to get through the raid for newbies. final shape is trash.

You have 40 full clears across all raids. I doubt you are very experienced when it comes to raids. Raid aren't made for casuals. They are supposed to be the hardest content the game offers. Gladly bungie realised that and made the best raid of Destiny with the best Contest mode we ever had.

It is either skill issue or, as Dual Destiny shows, the sudden revelation that D2 is a multiplayer game that gives people trouble. Meanwhile, the active core community celebrates Final Shape. SE is one of the best in the game atm. The stronger focus on the mechanics is exactly what this game needs to generate difficulty regardless of unfixable power creep. The forth encounter in particular just requires everyone to turn on their brains. No wonder people dont like that, when many keep insisting on doing add clear. RoN is fine, but far from the best, because it lacks difficulty. No wonder you would approve of that.

Frustration I guess, when you deem the DLC as not challenging, when its raid is the hardest we have ever gotten, given the contest completion rate.

I think it was only like 2 teams finished the last wish on contest mode. I'm not sure if it was that exact number, but it was very low.

Yes, when contest mode was 24 hours. In these 24 hours, just one team cleared SE on contest mode. When the main challenge isnt the execution of mechanics, but finding out how they work, it is logical that the number of completions increases exponentially, when you give people more time.
