Antaeus Needs a rework in PvP and you know it
No one should have on-demand invulnerability in the crucible.

It's worse than invulnerability on demand, it's a full reflection. You can kill and never fire a shot. It's needed to be dealt with for a long time now but Bungie ignore it because it wasn't being super widely used. For a while if I recall it didn't even touch top 5 most used exotics in trials. That however doesn't change the fact it's a completely broken exotic, most average players just don't slide and want easier to use exotics that pay off without effort.

4 RisposteIt is so completely and utterly random that they nerf some things like Stompees into the ground beyond being usable and that exotic remains completely untouched, just as the corresponding subclass that needs a massive nerf - Arc, specifically knockout. It’s the most OP and stupid nonsense I’ve ever seen in PvP and is just available in neutral play. You don’t even have to spec into it.

7 RisposteNow when I really think about it, Titan mains can never really cook in PvP unless they’re abusing some exotic. Whether it’s OG One Eyed Mask, OG Dunes, Antaeus pre AND post “nerf”, Synthoceps, OG Citans. Look how many of their exotics get tampered with because they can’t help but be degenerates as soon as a decent exotic is released. I didn’t see one Warlock main cry about Ophidians losing its sniper melee on their gloves. Hunters whined for like a week over Stompees… and then still continued to keep them on right after. Soon as you call it out though they get hyper defensive as if they don’t know their playstyle literally revolves around being degenerate. The funniest part is people really think Titans are nerfed, as if farming a entire lobby with Antaeus + special weapons aren’t still a thing, Peregrine still does what it does. Zero primary required. And Immortal + PKs are still good. But let them tell it “Titans got nerfed”.

The arc titan aspects and fragments are the reason for why the exotic legs are as good as they are:m. Because try utilizing them with other subclasses. You will see a difference for sure in performance. Not to mention before the 3.0 reworks. The greaves were good but not as nearly as oppressive as they are now. So it’s not so much the exotic that needs nerfing, but more of the arc titan subclass. Because it is highly oppressive, but can be easily countered by stasis, strand, and certain movements. Such as a well timed jump, dodge, dash, or thrust.

They only started getting used after people like you got everything else nerfed, titans have just had the biggest nerf ever in destiny 2 not to mention recent nerfs like baracade and shoulder charge now you're attacking few we have left. Why is it on every Antaeus post all the garbage titan mains race out to spam the post with ‘it’s so easy to counter’ and ‘skill issue’ responses? If they spent half as much time playing crucible as they do defending titan cheese on the forums they might actually see how unbalanced being invulnerable and deflecting heavy and supers is.

4 RisposteIt's only more frequently used because of all the Titan nerfs, but it still needs a rework in PvP...and this is coming from a Titan main since D1 Launch. It's an extremely low risk with extremely high reward exotic and is as oppressive as the Stompees were before that got reworked. I can see linking it's slide perk to the titan barricade or melee energy.

They can also shoot you when they’re sliding so if an anteaus titan with half a brain slides at you the gunfight ends and you lose.

For little cost I think it should be only on arc Titan when amped that way there is an actual cost, for any other exotic or class that strong there is a cost

As a titan who destroys people by not letting them having any chances in close 1v1 with antaeus I agree. Sunset antaeus or make it not deflect but only create confettis and that would be a breath of air in this meta.

Lowkey I genuinely wonder if bungie thinks about the changed they make. The ability to run around the map with juggernaut and Antaeus wards is a joke. I can’t even count how many times I’ve lost gunfights because my opponent has 2 infinite shields like please bungie fix this

This exotic is pure cancer. It's just run and spam the loadout, and it needs to just go away completely. There is a reason this game has low numbers. It's because the dev team on this game is terrible, and they have no idea what they are doing. Who wants to be there is some slithery dev that mains this forever and refuses to budge until somebody makes them? There aren't too many reasons for why Titans and crap like this has been OP for ages. They finally got a barricade nerf down. Decent. But they have to deal with this.

Anteus should work the same way stompees do where the effects are only active when the user has a barricade. Should feel better since barricades had their cooldowns nerfed.

2 RisposteMy own thoughts on reworking it would simply to make it function similarly to woven mail, it will still protect and reflect, but not precision based damage or supers (Especially the fact that I've seen titans reflect Hunters Silence & Squall making it their own.)
