Is anyone enjoying this game?
I haven’t played D2 since July, but I’ll be getting back on for season 19.
I’m looking forward to trying out the new Crucible playlists. I can’t remember the last time I played Gambit, so I’ll probably jump into that for a bit. There’s tonnes of PvE stuff I need to catch up with.
Surely not everyone in this forum is logging in against their will, to mindlessly grind a miserable online existence.
So, who is still having fun? What are you enjoying about D2 at the moment? What are you looking forward to with season 19 or Lightfall?

2 RisposteIt’s the end of a season, all people are going to do is complain about content, then praise it for like 2 weeks when the new season comes out… then people will whine again and claim they have cancelled their pre orders, then that will come out and the cycle will repeat it self. Destiny fans are by far the most entitled hypocrites in gaming

1 RispondiI do enjoy the game. It ebbs and flows with how much at any given time. Right now it’s less enjoyable than it will be in just over a week when the new season starts, and far less than the end of Feb when Lightfall drops. I enjoy seeing new places and experiencing new activities. I enjoy new stories and characters that make the world feel bigger and alive. I enjoy trying new weapons and obtaining those weapons. I enjoy when the meta shifts, like the subclass 3.0 reworks. Destiny is like a warm blanket. It’s comfortable and familiar, and not always a bad way to lose part of the day.

This game is a absolute blast. Especially with friends. We get content droughts and bad times but still lots to do

I’m having a good time! I only play an hour or two a week and mostly just chill in crucible, but it’s a pretty good time. I don’t mind the meta too much, and I feel like almost any weapon has room to shine.

Personally it’s a mix between good and bad it’s been good getting back in the swing of things and then there’s all the negative stuff about the latest content and all although I wish I could’ve experienced black armory but nope coming back wasn’t on my mind then

I’m enjoying destiny, until trials freelance matchmaking screws me over. I’m not flawless or Unbroken. But I am decent. I keep falling at the steps of the lighthouse because my teammates have never played in the crucible before and two of my opponents are flawless. Or there’s one flawless and one unbroken opponent. Or two are unbroken. Or one is flawless and two unbroken. Or all 3 of them are unbroken. Or my personal favourite, 4 flawless and I only get one teammate….-blam- But no seriously I’ve enjoyed this season with my Titan and the storm grenades. I did lots of gms which were awesome. I really enjoyed all the arc 3.0 updates. The abilities are fun and it was fun crafting different builds on all the classes.

I enjoy playing Crucible. Primary weapons have been in a great place ever since Snipers and Linears were nerfed. The weapon sandbox is better than ever. In fact, Sidearms are the only standouts that come to mind. The Subclass sandbox is unbalanced, but I think the upcoming subclass changes will fix a lot of the issues. I've got my fingers crossed I'm also excited to grind the New Competitive playlist, but I suppose that's not what your post was asking

I’m still having fun because I play gambit, pvp, and strike for fun and resource collecting. I’ve had people tell me that it’s no optimal resource collecting and why would I have fun doing the same thing but I just like shooting things and Destiny seems to be the place for me for that. I also like thinking outside the box when it comes to the meta. How my partner put it was “yes I’d love to learn the meta but it’s expanding on that meta that’ll be fun”. I also like exploring while resource collecting on planets! See things that I missed or go back old content locations that I never got to play, even if it’s just a closed area. I also like helping people get through raids and teaching people their first dungeon. I play it to help others play. It’s why people always see me in the cosmodrome, to give new lights a bit of a push. That’s why I still play.

For example I got caliban’s hand and made a build around the knife and keeping it up a lot and it’s pretty fun. I’m mostly a pve player but I might play pvp from time to time for the same reason, but I try to have some fun. Tl;dr I make more builds to try to have some fun and occasionally try pvp.

The actually experience of playing the game is fun. I like the novelty of playing the game with other human beings. However at present their is little new to do. I don't raid because I don't like puzzle mechanics in an FPS. And I respect other people's time thus do not along.

I keep playing because deep down I love Destiny. I just hate the decisions Bungie keeps making that makes the game less and less enjoyable season after season after season.

1 RispondiI’m enjoying the game. For the negative: I found the seasonal activities to be not awful, but very lackluster and dull. The story is decent, but the gameplay elements to get you there can be a slog sometimes. Ketchcrash and expedition aren’t very entertaining to me, they feel too repetitive, but that’s personal preference. For the positive: I’ve been doing more raids than ever and having a blast. It helps significantly to have groups/people you like to play with to enjoy the content together. Kingsfall is fantastic and I highly recommend running it. Grandmaster nightfall strikes are also excellent fun. It’s a good place to get great rewards. I’d say this is a good season to explore raids, gms, and dungeons. If you don’t already have a clan or group, I’d really recommend finding a chill and fun group to explore these activities with. There’s always friendly guardians willing to teach :)

1 RispondiI am. I’ve cut the amount of playtime as the season’s winding down but it’s been pretty fun. King’s Fall is a lot of fun if you get a halfway decent team. The seasonal Ketchcrash is one of the better seasonal activities of recent memory. GM nightfalls and crucible are both pretty fun. A lot of the new weapons are really fun and Arc 3.0 is fun in PvE. Pretty solid season. If they hadn’t had as many bugs, it wouldn’t have been as big of a deal. People on here are some of the most toxic in the game…
