"Wait what, how do you that? F man, i didnt know that super was so powerful. You just killed both barriers and the Hive guardian!"
1 minute later
"Damn, you got your super back already?!"
20 minutes later
"Wtf are you doing to the boss?!
I am fisting
"Wow, this is insane. How are you even doing that? Its like a revolutionary new way of defeating the boss.
Explains
Dont tell Bungie.
"Thanks for the carry. Let me send you a friend request. You have got to show me that build."
This is a take on my experience doing GMs. Im not trying to -blam!- on anybody, but all I can say to all those people who couldnt/cant think outside the box and give me a chance: Your loss👍🏻
If there are any other arcstriders out there know that youre not alone. Our time is coming.
Edit1: this is not a hate post whatsoever, satire is hard.
If it isnt meant to be, it isnt meant to be
One love❤
Edit2: my build
Helmet:void, dynamo x 2, elemental charge
Arms: solar, charged up
Chest: solar, Raiden flux, supercharged
Legs: void, energy converter
Cloak: distribution x 2, elemental light
The beauty lies in the infinite loops, which give your super back really fast.
Elemental light lets you create wells on super kills, elemental charge gives you charged with light x 2 per well picked up.
Supercharged and charged up boost the max amount to 5 x charged with light, which you get after picking up 3 arc wells.
When your super ends, throw a grenade and energy converter x 5 will give back 45% of your super energy.
So basically super kills create super energy.
Melee kills recharge dodge, dodging recharges melee. distribution x 2 and dynamo x 2 give back around 8% per dodge, so after six or seven adds melee killed, you fully regain your super and the loop starts all over again.
The super also staggers heavily. So much so, that some barrier and overload champions keep getting staggered over and over again when hit with sustained damage. Barrier champions cant pull up their shield because of it. Overloads cant attack or teleport, while staggered. Hive guardians get destroyed with two consequetive combo's.
Just make sure you only use the heavy palm attack if its really necessary, since it drains the super energy very heavily even with raiden flux.
As an example: Two light combo's kills a barrier knight on GM (Lightblade)
Toptree melee also has an intrinsic stagger feature that isnt mentioned anywhere. The effects however differ per champion. Some get staggered only once, others twice, but barrier servitors can be staggered indefinetly, basically giving your melee anti-barrier in those strikes.
Other honorable mentions to this melee abuse are the Lightblade boss and in some sense the Birthplace boss. Although the latter has some scripted movements which makes it not a very good idea.
1 RispondiInteresting build. I rarely use arcstrider but will save the build info when arc 2.0 comes around. (I’m a bit skeptical about building entirely around super recharge as Bungie has made it clear they want less super spam and more reliance on guns.) Completely agree that running with team dictators is not fun. The assumption is that they know best and have no respect or interest in your knowledge and experience 🤷♀️ So many contrary responses here (‘you’re not a team player!’) Good to see non-meta options 👍
-
Good on you. I like it when different builds and/or weapon loadouts provide options as opposed to the tried and true.
-
6 RisposteAlready know the build your using, one two punch with top tree arcstrider and those gauntlets. Not used them and never bothered with them and if some dude joined on my lfg team using them I'd be like "ummmm okay let's go with it and see what happens, just play choose your fight". People these days only want to run "meta" loadouts in pve but never think of other builds that can be viable. These are the same people who usually complain about the pvp meta too.
-
1 RispondiTo be honest, your choice of super would have not mattered to me..... But a shotty? That's a tough pill to swallow in a gm. You either have some stones and is good with a shotty ( probably the minority) or you going to cost many revive tokens.
-
Modificato da Ray: 4/19/2022 7:48:04 PMI completed a GM this season using spectral blades so this post makes me happy lol
-
Koowl. When i make a LFG for a nightfall i do not care what people are running, as long there are some champion mods.
-
8 RisposteShowcases how toxic and brainwashed players are in their play. Just a bunch of robots treating a video game like it is death sentence or a job. Keep playing how you want. It showcases you are a true gamer and not some one trick pony who is going through the motions that is similar to others.
-
I'll run a GM with you.
-
14 RisposteNobody cares if you’re “thinking outside the box”. They just want clears, dude. It’s okay to not really want to deal with someone using weird as hell loadouts.
-
5 RispostePointless post, nobody cares that you’re going against the grain, people want the tried and true methods of getting a “clear”, simply stop whining and change the loadout, I don’t like to run well, but if I’m running GMs I’ll run well.
-
3 RisposteI mean, how hard would it have been to just change your loadout? It's THEIR fireteam, and if you're going to be stubborn and not use the loadout they want you to use, especially in a GM, you shouldn't be surprised when you get kicked. If I join a team, and they want me to switch my loadout, I do it, unless I do not have the gear they want me to use. If you're not capable of doing that, you should make your own team.
-
1 RispondiI don’t mean to be that guy but if you have so much trouble with joining an LFG and have issue with what they want you to use in their lobby, Try hosting your own lobby where no one can force you to swap anything.
-
2 RisposteExcellent use of the word bigotry. Is this the new toxic? If you're such a bad azz, make your own post and carry some folks. No need to break your arm patting yourself on the back for being such a cool guy. Just do it
-
You could, idk, make your own post if it bothers you that much?
-
Just like a hunter main to use bigotry as a reason for getting their feelings hurt in a video game. Lol
-
Be more flexible with your Loadout. At the end of the day, you chose to join their team. If you’re not going to play by their rules, put out your own post.
-
Just Awesome, good job man # SHOCKSTICK.
-
1 Rispondiwhat tree and strat do you use for this
-
1 RispondiJust put on what they expect then switch back.
-
You’re doing it wrong.
-
20 RisposteSo you made a post because you want to play content that requires team work but refused to cooperate with your fireteam in any way. Im glad that you found a team that worked out but instead of blaming everyone else maybe look at yourself and your refusal to work with anyone on your team. I can tell you first hand I main warlock and absolutely hate running well but i promise you the moment it is asked I switch.
-
well now im curious, how do you use arcstrider and a sg in a gm
-
1 RispondiModificato da Note: 4/19/2022 10:16:26 PMLmao hunter in a gm is an L
-
Make your own post then. Would have fixed the issue. But Arcstrider needs some help I agree
-
In these cases. It's better to make your own lfg post
-
Dude I haven't seen a Arc hunter since forever, I like to run GG for GMs due to the easy super energy proc it gets.
