I understand getting rid of something like recluse in endgame, but what is the point of getting rid of old armor? Literally every Y3 armor is the same except for seasonal mod slots (which shouldn't be seasonal in the first place). I don't really like grinding for ascendant shards cuz nightfalls are so artifically difficult that no one except for hardcores want to play them.

30 RisposteIt's mainly so bungie can reissue your armor at a later date. Instead of making new or better gear/weapons, bungie is taking to easiest way and recycling/reissuing making you pay money a second time for something you already purchased. Luke Smith needs to be fired. I cant stress this enough, the shitty writer is going to bury this game with his poor judgment and lack of any orginal idea. The next dlc is giving us d1 content, because no one at bungie has any orginal ideas. Luke smith wants a WoW grind so steals an idea from a game he had others play for him because he's that bad at grinding in the first place, but it's fun for him because the moron didnt even complete the task himself but broke ToS and let some else use his account.

2 RisposteSunsetting at all is idiotic!
-
Oh oh I know this one, it's power creep. See it sounds stupid
-
1 RispondiOh, when it is something you worked for it's different and crazy. Lol. But guns, ya get rid of those.
-
9 RisposteDude I cannot believe they are putting an expiration date on everything lmao! The incompetence of this company is truly impressive
-
3 RisposteI agree wholeheartedly. Where it makes a little sense to sunset weapons. THERE IS NO SENSE IN SUNSETTING ARMOR!!! I'm sorry that my life doesn't revolve around this game to want to grind to keep my light level high enough and constantly getting rid of armor that I like using. Sunsetting armor just make upgrading it to a masterwork useless and makes me feel as if my time is better spent looking for another game that won't force me to grind to get the things I already have.
-
They know, they just don’t care.
-
1 RispondiModificato da welard: 7/27/2020 8:56:51 AMCorrect. Bungie are devaluing there own game in a big way right now. Grinding for light level which is essentially a number is not content. Grinding for weapons and armour we already have is not content (sunsetting). Time is a precious commodity and this is how Bungie is treating it's player base. These are the are the reasons this is my last season. I have enjoyed the game on the most part since D1 launched and this is the first time I have not pre ordered . Enough is enough.
-
Sun setting is dumb. The reason to play the game is to get stuff. Every argument for it, the results can be achieved another way.
-
4 RisposteBrooooo I promise you when beyond light hits you’ll forget about your old gear
-
2 RisposteThey can sunset whatever they want as long as there’s transmog
-
The people saying it's to remove OP seasonal mods... Isn't that what the SEASONAL mod slot on armor was supposed to do? Limit the mods to armor from that season so you're forced to choose if you want a mod from X season or not. Another thing, why don't they just put a special mod slot on exotic armor and make "exotic mods" that are more powerful but you can only have one(hence it being on the Exotic Mod slot)

5 Risposte
Armor sunsetting is idiotic
Correction, you should have put the company is. Now I've seen this company make some poor decisions through the years, but not as many as they have with this game and it's been going on since the game launched. If this company wasn't so obsessed with micromanaging the game to how they want us to play, things wouldn't be that bad when they make decisions like this. There is always a solution, it's just this company likes to take the easy way out and mislead the player base to believing things like this "are a good thing". No, stop the misleading and look for a solution because it's not like they haven't had way more than enough feedback to learn how to compromise. I will tell you this much, I'm not wasting my money just to require what I already have when I can buy a new game. So knowing they have been majorly lacking producing quality content, at this point 343 is getting my money. This company thinks removing more a lot more content than they're adding with the new expansion and giving us content from the first game and sunsetting is a good deal? Right...
-
11 RisposteBecause if they don't sunset armor we will have no reason to grind for any new armor they release.. Im not sayng I'm for sunsetting but I'm almost 100% positive thats the reason behind armor being part of bungie sunsetting moving forward
-
4 RisposteIts likely because this means bungie can silently remove "OP" seasonal mods. Not many people have realized this. I mean in a few months, many of the charged with light mods will be sunsetted. The mods I'll miss most once sunsetted will be the taken, fallen, hive mods which are only equipable on old raid armor.

1 RispondiModificato da ghostx78x: 7/27/2020 3:24:45 PMI have done plenty of Master nightfalls and never gotten an ascendent shard. Pretty sure Bungie has no idea what its like to masterwork armor. I will never have a MW set of armor on all 3 characters and I play this game way too much. Bungie should look into how their own game is functioning. There are idea being churned out that just dont work in practice.
-
17 RisposteIts a really sad state of affairs when people don't even realize, even right now, how easy it is to MW a piece of gear. And to continually do it through the seasons. And thats if they somehow don't change a thing. Which they already ha e said they are. So first off, dismantling an old MW armor will give you nearly half of what you need to MW a new piece. Then, even at a pace of only playing a single class and nothing more, it will take at most 3 weeks to obtain the prisms to exchange for a shard. This is running on the assumption you have zero MW armors to dismantle. This is easily done by completing your nightfall ordeal pinnacle. And you can easily farm even more prisms by way of playing the game as intended and doing a few extra NFs. You can even get shards as a reward for this. Obviously doing more than 1 character will net you more materials. Next you can easily obtain a single MW armor, and by extension, half of what you need each week to MW an armor piece just by doing Pit. Again, this is assuming you only play 1 class. Doing 3 will grant you more materials needed to MW a single item of course. So even without already having armors to dismantle, it will take 14-16 weeks to fully MW a set of armor. Out of how many total weeks? So yeah, this regurgitating speech all you sunsetting refusers seem to be spouting is just nonsensical. You literally don't even have to actually farm anything this season. Just play the gsme and collect your new armor and by the end of the season you will have PLENTY of materials to MW a set. Probably 2 or 3 sets if you want. So if you are having trouble doing this, its likely because you either don't play the game as efficiently as most, or you're just dumb. Time is not the issue. You don't have to change a thing about what you are doing. Its just amazing at the hoops you'll jump through to rationalize a change in a video game.

1 RispondiBungie/Luke Smith: Regrind = New Content.
-
Bungies staff is idiotic
-
Armour is no more idiotic than weapons.
-
Grind for same armor and weapons but higher power level is much much more idiotic.
-
6 RisposteYou know I got to looking at my armor the other day. And it hit me... why sunset the class item. Like its dumb in general, but my master worked class item wont matter here soon after the next expansion. And its literally a class item. So unless bungie decides to put stats on new class items what's the point in getting rid of my current one for a new one that's gonna be the same as my current. Sunsetting hurts my head.
-
So many bad stat armours, I finally have armour stats where I am somewhat comfortable using which will expire, I was upset from when they changed it to armour 2.0 with mod slots meant I had to re grind armour it took ages. It’s all happening again... I don’t understand the armour sun setting... in fact they could just not do it to weapons and just nerf like they always have, it’s almost the same apart from not being able to max cap infuse it.
-
2 RisposteYes I love using my god roll armor from 2 years ago and not actually playing the game
-
Yes it is. No real debate for it. Basically being done to screw us and force us to re grind for the mats. Bullshit move that has lost me my 3 best friends that were playing.
-
3 RisposteI have a question that’s not related to this post. What’s the point of shooting out those blue balls with the ruinous trace rifle? Do we know how many they are?
