Some of the old cool stuff you had comes back with a price tag in lieu of making new content and you have to do more of the same repetitive shit to win back the same cool stuff you already had 6. Understandable. I’ve recently finished Zelda for the switch so I’m currently playing my second play through of the outer worlds. Would recommend, some fun guns to use and some funny dialogue through the story. Destiny is terrible just now, bungie hasn’t offered anything new to the table for ages. If you really step back D2 isn’t that much better than D1, some people still like D1 better, witch is scary seeing as Y3 was back in 2016....4 years ago. People stuck in the destiny loop probably forgot what good games are actually like and just love the pew pew gunplay and probably like the half baked rinse and repeat content these kind of games offer. E.g stand on plates/ dunk orbs or defend your ghost while he scans something, that’s about as exciting as D2 gets. Trust me. Play some other games and you will quickly realise destiny has been garbage for a long time now, and it’s only because it’s all some people play. Think a about the core gameplay, it’s the exact same as D1. Where other companies are finding new and exciting ways to pull in the player and give them new experiences, bungie are dishing out old maps, recycled planets and destinations, 5 YEAR OLD TRIALS CONTENT, reskins and having players run from A to B with no real reward or reason. Bungie have there new game with Netease to worry about now, destiny is just a money maker. Eververse, funding there new game while destiny takes the back seat. It’s year 10 of development, year 6 of gameplay and a sequel later and look at the game lmfao. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I hate it when there fanbois who say thinks like "Power creep is real and adding more options of weapons causes it" and "I am sitting on thousands of 'upgrade modules', so infusion shouldn't be made simpler" They really -blam!-ing mental, and it's sad to think they will be there until the end. Weapon retirement is snake oil to a issue that doesn't really exist.

Every popular, renown, MMO based game has a sunsetting with every DLC drop. You start fresh, lose your gear, and are encouraged to grind it out again. It doesn't matter how much Bungie nerfs Mountaintop/ Recluse: these weapons have perks that can only be found on these weapons, which means they have no other legendary counterpart. It doesn't matter how much they are nerfed, people will still use them. Bungie realized this, and are hopefully working on ensuring this is never encountered again. I'm in the same boat. I'm having zero fun with Destiny this year. All my Destiny Friends are gone, I've been in multiple Clans that eventually fade away and die off. LFG on Xbox only goes so far and it becomes a major PITA to get things done as you never know what your getting. Sunsetting makes no sense, as they are already re-issuing our current (and D1) weapons back at us with max 1360 light cap. Not regrinding for the same weapon just because it's 250+ light higher. The "New" fall content is old, re-treaded and it looks like nothing coming forward will be "Fresh", cause it's almost all old D1 derived, except for Europa and that likely will be all underground and small. And they want me to pay $84.99 Canadian + Tax for this and the time gated, dribbles of Seasonal content? It's pretty clear they have moved their Best and Brightest to developing Matter and that this will only become more and more progressively worse as they move to 2022 when they push to release it.

Your door has closed on Crucible and mine has opened. Crucible has become a much better environment in my opinion. It actually brought life back to the game for me. My skill level is somewhere between average and Unbroken. Not good enough for Flawless or Unbroken, but not a bad player either.

Ah, another negative kd player who had a false sense of feeling “decent” at the game due to sbmm. I know it sounds harsh but honestly man.. just get better. That’s the thing about sbmm, players in the low end of it never improve.

The problem I’ve been having lately is the question “what’s the point?” Why do we grind these god roll items? Just to do the same repetitive activity?

Now that Bungie seems to be moving towards having seasonal content stay the entire year starting in November, I will be waiting until [b]deep discount[/b] to buy anymore Destiny. It's an interesting enough game to play when there is a bunch of new content, but investing any real time into it anymore seems foolish. With the PS5 on the horizon and a lot of new games coming out around the Holidays, I don't think there will be any shortage of games to play this year -- especially from studios who actually care about the games they make.

Games are for entertainment. If your no longer entertained, find another game that will entertain you. Simple enough. I left for a good long while between the last two seasons and came back this season. It’s still the same grind, shitty loot, repetitive bullshit, but I’m still entertained for now.

It's funny how I post topics with ideas to possibly help improve Destiny to see what the community thinks and I do not get one comment. Someone posts the 1000th "I am done with Destiny" topics and has over 150 comments. I am not happy with the current state of Destiny either and also get frustrated, but I try to balance that emotion with posting some ideas hoping that Bungie will see them. Bungie is not the best at responding, but when almost all topics are hate filled with no constructive ideas I see why they are so silent.

This is my last season. Not really a protest. Just it’s been 5 years and it’s time to do more things with my spare time than bounties and manage micro economies. The game slowly has been dying to me since D2 dropped to be honest. Now, it’s time to move on.

I been enjoying titles i put off for a while. In a way, thanx Destiny.

Left D2 a month ago and went to MW. The game has gone downhill for a while now, the grind and lack of creativity by Bungie has ruined it totally. The only thing that kept me in D2 was crucible, with CBMM I had no longer reason to stay. Haven’t looked back since the switch or missed it. Just thinking of logging on, bounties, public events etc....the so boring grind makes me tired. Still hoping that one day will come when they actually listen to the community and makes some positive changes, but with each TWAB that seems more and more unlikely. Twitch and a Twitch bounty...wow! All the negative things with the game encapsulated in latest TWAB. And looking at my friends list and their activities it seems 2/3 are done with it also.

I look at it this way: I am from the old school days of buying a game and its yours, play it till you hate it but you have it none the less. This honestly feels to me like they are taking something I paid for not only with money but 100's and 100's of hours of my time and they are erasing it and forcing me to have Destiny 3 wether I want it or not. I look at the quests I have to complete and now instead of being down for the grind because i will have a sweet weapon or armor I can use to further my grind, I just see a waste of time that wont matter in November anyway so why bother? One thing I have never gotten was burned out playing which may seem weird but it's true, but it just depresses me to think of playing now. I wont say im deleting the game but I have no intention of buying further content and may pop in the free to play sometime but there are a lot better games right around the coroner. Cue the "Git Gud" , "see you in November", and "prove it delete your character" -blam!-ing morons. You all make this community shittier by the day. For all those leaving, I hope you find a new game to enjoy! For me Ghosts of Tsushima looks super awesome and I can't wait to play it. I have returned to MHW for now and it is such an amazing game I struggle to find the reason why I left it for destiny.
