As a looter shooter, the Amount of vault space we are Working with when using 3 characters is way too limited. I’m pushing my inventory and postmaster to the max atm and I’m not the person to hoard trash.
What are the main problems with increasing the digits for the vault from like 500 to 600 every 2 seasons? If that’s not an option, I suggest that the vault to be separated between the 3 different character slots we have at least in terms of armor since it could solve a lot of frustration.
I get that sun setting can solve this in a way to phase out old content in the eyes of the player, but it’s not the main reason for sun setting, correct?
As a warlock, hunter or titan. All drops in the world are class specific, I’m not getting titan drops if I am a hunter. So when I go and check my vault, I shouldn’t be able too see armor that my class can’t wear? Each class have 48 armor exotics They can’t use that still take up spaces in the vault along with the other class specific pieces that are grayed out.
I think best approach for this is to make it character specific instead of account specific. Or if the gamesize is the issue have a temporary seasonal storage I’m the tribute hall that gets wiped every season. That way we can get a bit room to work with when going for seasonal items and choose which items will get go to the vault at the end of a season?
Any other brainstorm ideas?

Theyre gonna delete the titan moon anyways. That will most likely savw data for other things like vault space.

You’re hoarding. Stop hoarding. I play 3 characters and my vault is 208/500. I could stand to lose a few weapons I know I won’t use. I have armor sets for every season from undying to now (an additional set on one for PVP) and a set of scourge and LW armor on one character. Really don’t need much else with the changes to seasonal mods and especially with future transmog.
-
1 RispondiClean out your Vault space regularly like I do... I GUARANTEE you're not gonna use everything in those 500 slots.
-
1 RispondiI want a secondary vault that stores all our cosmetics (with as much space as you need). If I had that, it would open up my vault greatly. Give sparrows, ships, shaders, and ghost shells a secondary vault with 500 space.
-
1 RispondiHow do you have so many items? I have played this game almost every day since release and still have 60% of my vault empty. Not to mention I have stored depreciated armor and weapons, lore items, and transmat effects I'm too lazy to dismantle.
-
1 RispondiI honestly don't know why there are people even defending against getting more vault space. There are literally no downsides to have more vault space. Even if you aren't someone who needs it why would you NOT want it anyways. And besides, with every new weapon or armor added it only makes the vault harder and harder to manage. I really don't want to start getting rid of god rolls that I worked for but at the same time I want to farm the new loot. I can only keep trimming and trimming until there is nothing that I can trim anymore. Eventually we'll have to start shaving off things that we really don't want to. And for Bungie, if you don't give us more vault space we eventually won't even be able to farm the new weapons you give us since we will have to delete old ones that we don't want to delete. I shouldn't have to pick and choose what I want to keep. That's the problem with this game, it's constant inventory management and it sucks time away that I could be spending actually playing the game. You can't keep avoiding this forever.
-
1 RispondiI feel a lot of this Vault space would be cleared up if they would simply allow us to reacquire everything that we've unlocked from collections. If I cannot find a purpose for a weapon or piece of armor just yet... At least I know I can delete it and get another one whenever I do find a purpose for it.
-
Can’t believe there’s not more threads for this. Needs more space big time
-
3 RisposteLet's start at the point in which you clean your vault. Every piece you can get from the collection (so the not randomised gear) has no place in your vault. So clean it or keep complaining. Your choice.

Modificato da Lena Volans: 5/13/2020 11:54:00 PMI wholeheartedly agree. Every couple months I go through my vault and all 3 characters to "clean house". Matter of fact, I just did that a few hours ago. I had to pull quite a few exotics from collections for guardian games. Pieces that I had just deleted not too long ago from my vault because they took up space. I have a bunch of weapons in there, ranging from exotic to god rolls to a handful that I am attached to for sentimental reasons. I easily have over 6 thousand Calus tokens in there, crucible and vanguard tokens as well as planetary materials that I have not been using. On top of that I still have a few sparrows in there (back from pre-Shadowkeep's "how to invest into glimmer and legendary shards" that I dismantle frequently for glimmer). But the main thing that takes up space are armour sets; armour that can't be pulled from collections (Revelry, some IB armour, moments of triumph) as well as Raid sets for all three characters. I raid all the time and in an ideal world, I would have enough space for 1 armour set per raid, per character. That would be 35 pieces for one character, 105 in total. That's 1/5 of vault space (not counting Prestige Leviathan armour). Right now I have 1x LW, 1x GOS, 1x COS, 1x SOTP and 1x PLev armour on all characters to minimise storage. More vault space OR the ability to pull everything (armour-wise) from collections would be nice. And no, I don't feel like modding up my Raid sets (let's disregard the PvP set every character has as well) and potentially adding shaders & ornaments to them, to then dismantle them and pull from collections next time I need it. I hope this is a quality of life update that Bungie is working on / considering. Keep in mind, I am only talking armour right now, not weapons.

3 RisposteModificato da Necrogen: 5/12/2020 3:40:57 PMI like where your head is at. Most threads I read break down their argument as such 1. I'm a hoarder, cater to me 2. It doesn't hurt anyone 3. Look at all the likes I get! I'm quasi trending! At least you're trying to solve for X here. I run at 480/500. I'd like to say I have 75 or so pieces to armor and the other 405 to weapons. I don't even use 50 guns that I save. Most I have on my hunter and warlock and I swap guns between characters. I look back at my vault and I have to say, I'm wasting space by keeping garbage god roll weapons. How many God roll handcannons do we all have? 8? 12? Most are the same. Pick one that looks pretty and junk the rest. Do the same for the other guns. I'd say we have an issue with identity between weapons which is why I can let go of so many weapons. I'd be more apt to support more vault space if I had a hard time dismantling 12 unique God roll weapons of the same type. My suggestion? We need to push the dev team to make more unique perks, even quirkier ones. They don't need to be powerful, they just need to be unique enough where we would want to keep them. Solidify that space in your vault with a weapon you know you're going to use and you need a spot for rather than just mindlessly stuffing a bank with soulless weapons. Again I'm not kidding when I say I don't even use 50 out of my 405 weapons. Most are kept on my characters so what am I using the other 400 plus spots for? If I got rid of all those weapons then I have 405 spots open!

Stop hoarding trash

Yeah, you can absolutely shard fixed weapon rolls, armor rolls with light mid-50s and below. Anything from collections. I shard most ghost shells, sparrows, and shaders. Personally, I have a ton of old god (demi-god?) rolls I hate to part with. Even if I've never used them. (no way to tell) Especially so with archetypes or with mods that are supposed to be good, but I don't like at the moment. Play styles and meta change over time and I might just learn to love that slideshot Dust Rock Blues some day. There are also the things you can't get any more. Old gen armor, seasonal items, weapon rolls I like but that don't currently do well (auto rifles for a long time). This damn toothbrush... I would happily get rid of old god rolls when I had a better replacement. Same archetype, better stats, better perks. And I don't mean just inventing annoying enemy types that can't be killed with old guns. :P I'd like to see projections, transmat effects, shaders, and legacy armor mods to unlockables vs. items too. Seems like they could do a little clever coding to be able to unlock certain perks combinations for certain weapons without making it a near-infinite set of discrete items to unlock. Bitwise operators? Something that makes it one row in table per collection item to indicate combinations vs storing each full item. I'm guessing that's what they do now and scaling up the current 750-ish items per character (vault +inventory) is a linear limit on space and performance as the database grows. It's super slow on console, whatever they're doing. I would imagine if they could scale it easily, they would have by now. For performance at least.
-
OR...you could throw away all the junk you're hoarding?
-
How about we just get the almighty to wipe it clean. Seriously Bungie im joking, don't you dare do this
-
I gave up on Shadowkeep's content mainly from wanting to not want to deal with vault management anymore. I can't take it.
-
2 Rispostei don't know how hard it would be for them to do, but why not just make the vault have infinite space to store things?
-
1 RispondiModificato da Xero: 5/12/2020 5:06:14 PMI'm trying to process this..... This sounds like a dumb question...but where is your why behind this? I would like more information, based on your own experiences to understand better. This sounds like a good idea on the separate vault space. I don't think Bungie could program it as easily, as opposed to doing minor increases, like before. Even the Tribute Hall idea, having its own seasonal collection that constantly shifts sounds nice. Yet with weapon sunsetting, that tells me something in the game is running out faster than they can keep up with as a whole. I even thought the seasonal model was a telltale sign of that too. Anyways, is there a stem from trying to maintain loadouts for various activities, but vault space is limiting? Or some kind of compulsion to get as much as you can to experience everything the game can give? Or does the game just drop too many items that you normally overlook, but deleting theme one-by-one isn't as efficient for you, based on activity versus time invested? Where do you find yourself running out?

Modificato da The Hermit IX: 5/12/2020 6:43:16 PMLast night I deleted 80 god rolled weapons to create room in my vault. They should make a donation bin for low light players because they were all solid rolls. I felt dirty afterwards.

7 RisposteI would be happy with a less outdated vault interface. Maybe Bungie could bring this game out of 2007 and into 2020 eventually.
-
1 RispondiBefore I begin, I want to confess that I am running out of space in my vault with just playing ONE character primarily (I have 3 as well, but only time for one). The reason is I hoard the crap out of all the gear and items thinking they may be useful someday, like sub-god-roll Better Devils or past-season armors. I personally think we have enough vault space for whatever we really need, but, while I can't speak for everyone, we are forced to hoard everything in the likely chance we need something once more. We don't need vault space, just some other way to manage our stuff so we don't have to hold onto everything we come across.
-
When anyone looks at how things can't be collected from the collection, and this company after 6 years still hasn't learned how to organize the vault space. Plus not allowing a few items to be stored in the vault space, those are bigger issues than people holding on to items. Not to mention that this company hasn't learned to make all items stack in all this time that the postmaster became an issue pushing out items. How many years does this company need feedback before they can learn how to improve these things already?
-
2 RisposteAll these 'stop hoarding' replies here and similar threads are BS and here's a perfect example. Galliard-42. At the time a semi-subpar AR. Had a God roll (well almost I wanted range and got something else for the masterwork). But, 'Stop Hoarding' chants and a full vault made me delete it. And now guess what? You really want that weapon! Farm the forges for a new one? Oh hell no. Well other then I got a crappy version of it thanks to GG but so not worth farming forges otherwise as people just want their kills and laurels and not completions -which is lame. Is Galliard the only example? Nope Bungo keeps screwing with the stats on weapons and armor so what was once crap becomes OP (and then turns to crap again next season when stuck with a new meta) Then there's, shaders, ghosts, sparrows, ships, ect. Why vault them when you can get them back? Ahhh excuse me why the hell should I pay to get something I already own? Give us back kiosks like we had in D1 and that would free up a great amount of vault space!
-
They need to improve the Collections with a reasonable way to reacquire gear with random perks. If (when???) they do this then Vault space should never be an issue again.
