It sounds like the glory days, a game that was so amazing with everyone unified on consoles. PVP seemed way better, PVE seemed more engaging, and everything seemed like it was 10x more rewarding.
Talk about FOMO

PvP was still garbage, PvE wasn’t really much different in terms of rewards, and there was less of it.

D1 was definitely better but it did have its issues. There is no denying that. I see people say that the PvP was better... in my opinion HELL NO. At the end of D1 the meta was so boring and frustrating AF. Palidromes and Eyalunas everywhere. PvE was better that. More subclass customization, even though everyone used the same stuff. We at least had the option to switch things up to mix and match stuff.

Dude it’s half nostalgia goggles. Most of us played d1 in a better time in our lives, so we connect the memories of being 7-9th graders and not having a care in the world with grinding d1 with our friends who quit long ago. D2 is objectively better at this point in terms of gunplay and gameplay, with a few small exceptions (raids and trials). D1 has just as bad if not worse times in it than d2 has ever seen

It really wasn't; everybody who says it just has nothing better to say, and suffer from a sad case of nostalgia, we who were there had similar experiences.

22 RisposteModificato da Smough: 3/31/2020 11:36:20 AMNo, you don’t. I know a lot of people hype up d1, but until the very end it was a boring mess 90% of the time, where you waited months for content to release only to be slapped by disappointment much like what happens now.
-
yup. These days all us D1 vets are just waiting for D2 to die so we can then hold Luke's hand and whisper softly into his ear "You had to be there."
-
Like any game it had its ups and downs. But if you had a regular fireteam like i did it was a blast! It was simpler, not this complicated version you have now. Bungie built such a great game out of it that expectations for D2 got to high. UI changes and a few modifications are about the only thing that improve from D1. But yeah you would have enjoyed the simple life.

It was rewarding until you got -blam!-ed up by Rahool with legendary engrams 🤟

The best fun playing a game in a long while

It was better days that’s for sure, back when you had to be there moments were real and not manufactured

2 RisposteNothing to stop you playing D1 you can pick up a cheap copy of D1 on one of the auction sites and play on your Xbox.
