Can we get Content and not Eververse Items please
as per Paul Tassi of Forbes Magazine
"Destiny 2 is coming off accusations that the Eververse store is starting to take over the game. When Curse of Osiris arrived, it had just as many new items as the expansion itself hidden away in its Bright Engram loot boxes. Now, just two weeks later, The Dawning has dumped another 59 items into Eververse in a new, separate engram.
Here’s the breakdown:
5 pieces of armor (3x classes)
4 emotes (1 exotic)
10 Ghost Shells (1 exotic)
10 ships (2 exotic)
11 sparrows (2 exotic)
4 shaders
5 transmat effects"
How about instead of filling the Eververse with things we can get randomly by playing the game that we keep telling you needs to be made better, you actually provide in game content to earn some of this stuff.. have it as rewards and trophies for defeating engaging activities in the game.. at this point, i'm sure sprinkling it througout the game we already have would be a fresh idea but, what about adding in new heroic adventures, new side missions and quests, have us do things to earn rewards to show our accomplishments like we did in D1 and stop simply giving out gift baskets of random stuff simply for doing what ever it is those of us left do in Destiny week in and week out.
Edit 1. I go to sleep and get to work to check out the page and wow. Seems i'm not the only one feeling this way. I appreciate the support and I also appreciate the fact that so many of you are still caring enough about the game to continue to provide feedback... now about that "devils horn/metal" emote....

Micro transactions can be used in a good way, the way Bungie is using them is horrific. i feel more robbed spending the $150 (aus) on the game and expansion to have no content and have most of the cool loot locked behind another paywall compaired to another game where i have spent triple that amount on a free game because it has something for me to grind (the ranked ladder) and the skins are 100x better than what destiny offers. OK you want to lock a free seasonal event behind a paywall or give sub par loot in a free engram to look like you are being kind to the player base, fine, at least put parts of the armor in those free engrams or at least let me get my 7 dust from the doubled up shaders i now have because i have no room for new shaders anyway. or at least make the season sets half price the full season sets cost as i only have 3 weeks, not 3 months to grind the engrams for them.

2 RisposteThis game was built around eververse day 1 its pretty clear at this point. Bungie has made every piece of armor every weapon lack luster in perks and aesthetics by just throwing a reskin on everything that the only unique items are in bright engrams. By taking away a real grind from end game weapons and armor they made the only chase cosmetic and built in to eververse... no strike specific loot,no raid ships, no sparrows to grind for. They’ve taken that grind away from us. Where is the faction grind? where is the exotic class items? They’ve taken so much away from us just so they can make eververse more attractive!

Ran some of the same content yesterday to get quest done and got 5 dawning shaders for free to start quest.... complete quest by doing pvp mayhem and strikes... got 2 of same dawning shader as reward.... ummmm best part was mayhem was at least fun more than I can say for normal pvp. But seriously the rewards for dawning quest is consumable shaders in the quantity of 2? Oh how the mighty have fallen... Bungie fix the game please I really want to like it but you are making it so hard...

I'm so sick of bright engrams. I hardly ever get an exotic ship, sparrow, ghost or emote. I do get a ton of ornaments though. Mainly for weapons and armor or classes I never use. As a titan main, I shouldn't open a bright engram while playing as my titan just to get a ornament for a hunter or warlock.

I think the math now is since curse of Osiris and the dawning 100 or so items were added to the destiny world loot pool and 150 items were added to eververse. Correct me if I am wrong.

1 RispondiThere is a LOT of time being putting into creating items for Eververse. That’s payroll and time for artists to be creating content that could already be in the game to be pursued through quests, missions, more story content, etc. also, most of the ships are basically the same as others with a different shader...but we can change our ships shader...🤔 The proof is in the pudding as they say. I think a lot of people worked their tails off on this game, but I think there are a lot of decisions being made that are very questionable. I don’t mind putting a little MTX money into a game to support artists that I love, but it’s getting out of hand IMO.

1 RispondiUnfortunate until people stop buying eververse items it will continue to be there. And i wont buy anything from there unless i naturally obtain bright dust. Gotta have to always grind to even have a chance at what you want. (unless you have god rng) heres hoping more cooler things become tied into the real content playing the game. bc even now 15 days after dlc, max light, 3 masterworks weps, done raid lair. everything should be found naturally in game for the people who want to grind to have OR eververse for those who dont

2 RisposteI was pissed about all the cosmetics in loot boxes now they are putting weapons in them eg. The dawning sword. This can't be a good thing the sword is not cosmetic only does affect game play, sure it doesn't do anything special but it sets a precedent. If we accept this now and don't bring it to attention where does it go next?

I agree. Ever verse is getting out of hand. There is literally no loot I want to get outside if eververse. I used to say microtransactions weren’t the problem. But now Bungie seems to have completely focused on adding items to eververse and nothing else.

Hate for loot boxes aside, the fact that the ENTIRE GAME revolves around cosmetic bullshit is just ridiculous. Its fancy, but obviously it adds no substance to the game at all. I also dont like what theyve done with prestige raids. I used to do the challenges in D1 raids every week on hard to get the stuff and things. But in D2 i dont feel powerful at all in prestige and it feels like such a pain in the ass that i havent even done a single one.

I think one issue no-one is really talking much about it that Activision is more than likely to blame with the direction Destiny has taken, it's not entirely Bungie's fault. I believe one of Activision's mandates for Destiny is to make it into a churn and burn franchise ala COD. The problem with that is that Destiny and it's fans (the ones who spend not only the time and money) aren't the same as COD fans... A distinction Activision is yet to understand and make. I was happy to drop a bit of coin on D1 Eververse because I felt it was justifiable due to the ever improving state of the game (speaking entirely from a PvE perspective), loads of incentive to play and it was relatively harmless. The same could have been said for D2, except that all the reasons I stated above no longer apply to D2 because of the way, I believe, Activision has directed the way in which D2 was made to cater to casuals and to turn it into a shallow "cookie cutter" cash grab... It's not P2W, but those cosmetic items [u]are[/u] the incentive to play due to the total lack of depth in D2... And that's where the problem lies. I guess if there's one point any Destiny fan needs to get across, is that we're [u]not[/u] the COD crowd, and Activision are missing that simple fact. Stop trying to make one of your best (potential) money makers into... Well... This mess, that may never recover unless you listen to the fans.
