The vanguard cutscene said it all
In the cutscene in which the cabal invade the last city, we see zavala protecting the people with his shield (helpful, team focus), ikora blinking cayde into zavalas bubble (helping keep her ally safe) and cayde.....randomly firing his golden gun, notbpaying attention anr almost gets crushed (shows no positive results, ultimately wasteful, not helpful in anyway).
All of this transitions into gameplay. The titans barrier helping with defense and/or dps. Warlocks rifts for defense or offense. Hunters dodge not helpful and puts yourself in danger.
Long story short buff hunters.

As a person who mains Hunter, I do believe that hunters need an ability that is both offensively and defensively beneficial for the fireteam and not just the hunter. Golden gun doesn't really do much in raids unless your are using Celestial Nighthawk but even then it's on specific situations where it proves useful (like with the Oversoul in crota's end) But that's it. Nightstaker is great for DPSing bosses or creating orbs (examples of the ideal Hunter super. Arc blade was rarely used for raids at all (clearing out a chunk of enemies or crouching for invisibility ability, or at least how I used it). Hunters need an ability that proves just as useful as the Titan and warlock ones.

Everyone harps on about the titan being a tank = easy mode. Warlock unless you have the patience to deal with floating in mid air and getting shot whilst doing so = moderate - hard mode. Hunters hardly any health until d2 with combination blow so they could regen health after a melee. They're the hard mode. only a certain amount of people have the skill and/or patience to play as them. Most titan lovers cant stick it with out an overshield or a nice bubble to stand in lol. 5 RisposteI don't think you're using the hunter dodge right if it's putting you into danger, sure it's a good idea to use dodge to initiate a gunfight if you have a way out or teammates to back you up otherwise you should be using it to quickly disengage if you realize you're outgunned.

Toggle options could be: lasts significantly longer and is broken when attacking or attacked OR much shorter duration with ability to attack while stealthed. Like the other class abilities, it has both single and group play benefits unlike the useless current class ability. It builds off of the more applicable smoke grenade ability from D1. I'm a warlock main but I have one of each. Playing the beta as a hunter made it obvious just how useless that ability was, especially for something like a raid. 59 RisposteHi let me explain something to you. In PVE the only team play that matters is DPS bonus and Healing bonus. Warlocks have the healing AND DPS with their rift. Titans Barricade is absolutly useless in an encounter such as the strike we were given. You never had a chance to stand still. In a raid if we can stand behind the barrier with auto load and a rift then that's perfect. So what else would hunters do? Obviously one class needs to lack in Team support if there is less than 3 things for team support needed. Hunters are perfect for DPS and ad clearing. That is there role. kindly learn to play the game. As someone who is a hunter main and played the shit out of the beta primarily as a hunter i can assure you they feel fine. Also your ridiculous analogy in your first paragraph makes me question what you actually know about Destiny. This clearly outlines the traits of Cayde, Ikora and Zavala NOT their class. Zavala is a stoic hero thinking of the people first. Ikora is 1 step ahead and making sure no one is in trouble playing a support role to Zavala. Cayde just doesnt give a shit and is ready to shoot some people. Please stop filling this forum with unintelligible bull like this.

4 RisposteI liked the way they portayed the vanguard in the cutscene, including the obvious amused fondness Ikora has for Cayde. Cayde's first instinct was to fight, he drew, aimed and fired. I liked that, brave and blase maybe, but not stupid. By the time we were on the flagship I think we learned more about the three of them than we did in the whole of D1. Zavala feels like a real character at last too. Optimistic for D2.

13 RisposteI don't know what you're talking about. The hunters have the best Circle/B attack in the game. The Titan barricade sucks no matter which one you use. (People just walk through it and you have to get out of it to kill people) Warlock rift sucks too. I kill warlocks in them 75% of the time. ~ Making America Great Again ~

No, Im a diehard Hunter main, and hunter felt fine, I got plenty of kills, against all classes and was on top of the team the leaderboard many a match. The Marksman Dodge is amazing as a way to stay in the fight. Often I was using it to simultaneously reload my, slow reloading, hand cannon and dodge out of sight; putting myself in a position to instantly attack again. The Melee dodge was pretty cool to and was pretty awesome in pre with arc strider equipped, endless swarm destruction. I will admit that I died every time I tried to take out a swarm with melees but it was fun, and I'm not good at melee range fighting in destiny.

Bump that ability is garbage hopefully there's a perk on the tree that makes it as cool as the other classes I'm definitely starting with a wArlock then titan then hunter
