2 RisposteUnfortunately, devs are supporting even the worst of players....
-
I literally jumped along the edge while taking burn damage to get to the platform's the first time I played it. Didn't know there was an actual "correct" way to do it.
-
2 RisposteIf anyone had trouble with the Turbines, they're not very smart. It wasn't difficult to understand the objective.
-
4 RisposteI died the first time, after destroying the first turbine. Then I went the wrong way and got hit. After that I looked at the direction of the spinning death machine and corrected my course. After that it couldn't have been easier.
-
1 Rispondilol didn't even know it was supposed to be hard... Shit like this is why pve players look like whiners
-
Modificato da DaCannonnn: 7/27/2017 7:19:11 PMThe article is laughable. It's on the side of the nerf. "This part was SUCH A HEADACHE." You work for a gaming/entertainment journalism company and you can't a do a -blam!-ing simple "jump over the things" platforming section? No wonder so few people played the raids. Can't imagine these type of players doing the ship jump maze in the Oryx raid. It would be a nightmare.
-
4 RisposteBefore reading this thread I honestly didn't even know that part was supposed to be hard. Not even trying to humblebrag, the turbines were just that easy.
-
5 RisposteWere people really complaining about the turbine section?! If someone found the turbines hard how on earth are they expected to beat a raid? I'm going to make a "must have gotten past the turbines without complaints" lfg requirement.
-
If I remember correctly, there was an outer ring you could walk on that would burn you, and an inner ring that was totally fine. The thought that anyone, at all, struggled in any way with that puzzle makes me want to drown a hummingbird.
-
God, can you imagine how some of the people who have been playing in the IGN footage must have felt?
-
It's by polygon, what did you expect.
-
6 RisposteI liked that puzzle, if it was a darkness zone I'd be kinda mad, but honestly I had no problem with it, i died because I suck, but come on it doesn't need to get easier... Puzzles in an fps are a great thing! Just look at metroid prime...
-
There are two types of people in this world. Those who play and those that are mentally deficient.
-
1 RispondiThat was probably the easiest thing ever if you knew how to actually jump.
-
1 RispondiAm I the only other person who's fine with that? The turbine section really messed with the flow of gameplay, and I see no problem with making it a bit easier to do.
-
It's Polygon. They have the brain capacity of a melted glue stick, and just like every other game reviewing site (Kotaku, Gamerank, etc.) they can't stand even the slightest amount of challenge because that makes it too hard for them to churn out a terribly biased review that always ends up being, at best, a 6.5/10.
-
I died a lot on that part but saw no need to change it.
-
people struggled with this o_O ...... fess up polygon... you used f**kin 2 year olds!
-
3 RisposteIf you didn't figure that part out immediately, maybe Destiny 2 isn't the game for you.
-
Wait now... This is just a thought but... Maybe... Maybe the games are easier in this era because everyone in your era was crying about games being too hard? It's not like the trend of crying or whining just appeared I'm pretty sure it started somewhere and if you or anyone else from this "golden age of gaming" had access to the internet the way "these kids" do today then I'm pretty sure developers would have changed things up even earlier. Lol just funny to me how someone can complain about the current state of things but not own up to the past being the reason things are the way they are today. Don't get me wrong this specific example with the turbine... That was just stupid and I agree too many things in gaming today are handheld and too simplified so that the average person can pick it up and not feel like its "too hard" but again all this just comes from the era where gaming was challenging.. So challenging to you guys that gaming as a whole became easier.
-
Modificato da DrippyChimp: 7/27/2017 4:32:54 PMGameSpot reviewed some Nintendo game without finishing it because it was "hard". You can't trust any gaming outlets anymore.
-
2 RisposteAs a Destiny veteran myself, I have to say that the turbines were not that hard. Then again, I'm fairly certain the people at Polygon are missing a hand or two.
-
1 RispondiYou could run around the outer ring & as long as you kept jumping you wouldn't die. I didn't think that section was bad at all. Christ I am 45.
-
Omfg. This is why we had so many problems with randos. They're morons
-
And people wonder why it's so hard to find a decent raid team. Here you go...
-
Yes. The fixed "the most annoying objective" in D2. Truthfully, I died twice on that part simply because I got whacked by those spinning arm things. But those people that found this difficult, hard or the most annoying thing of that mission......please cancel your pre-order now and don't buy the game. Unbelievable that people found this part SO hard they needed to rant/complain about it to the point where Bungie "fixed" it for the release. Can't imagine how today's gamers would fare if they had to play Legend of Zelda on NES. They'd probably cry and rage quit within a few minutes of playing.
