Since they were powerful in pvp, we now lose the entire class for pve too. Yet another thing that screwed pve for pvp. And Bungie still claims they arent favoring pvp so i guess everyone on the forums, reddit, and articles from major game sites that all noticed the same pattern are all wrong. But youtubers love the beta so who cares what us normal people think

PvP requires no skill and is based off of the luck of matchmaking and whoever has the better internet connection.

Machine Guns were ridiculous from the get go. I enjoyed using them but with SMG's, grenade launchers, and buffed shotties/fusions I don't think I'll be in any need.

I can't remember the last time I used a machine gun in PvE. That's why I responded the way I did. Because you're crying on the forums about a weapon class that was barely used in PvE because there are far better options out there. If anything Machine guns were more useful in PvP than anywhere else. Also no, anytime I go on LFG I generally ask for people that haven't done the content, for whatever reason and run it with them. You seem pretty intent on making me out to be some kind of monster for disagreeing with your post.

Well since you asked... Looking at your stats, before we even get to machine gun kills, you have a combined 153,908 kills with other weapon types. You have a little over 1,000 machine gun kills. Answer honestly. Do you really think you're going to miss it that much? Is it worth complaining about? Is it worth spewing "verbal diarrhea" over the forums when it's a weapon class you have apparently barely used? Or are you just complaining for the sake of complaining?

Yes. Well I'm looking for one more, Aksis phase 2. Must have Abbadon. Please name a boss fight where a machine would be preferred over a high impact sniper or rocket launcher. Im not saying they aren't viable. You aren't going to wipe if somebody in your group is using a machine gun. But the damage output with other weapons is much better than any machine gun. Viable does not mean necessary. Nice try tho.

Why does effectiveness matter? Ok, a lot of people didn't use lmgs in pve. A lot of people did though. The point is, they are removing weapons from the game entirely because they too good in pvp. With all your stat searching you are literally proving his point, that things are being removed from the game solely for pvp balance. You're argument doesn't have a leg to stand on

How is searching stats to see whether or not to see how little the weapon is used irrelevant? I liked using machine guns. I'm not happy that they aren't returning, but I understand it. That's the difference.

It's irrelevant because it's one more reduction in options and customisation. I guess in regards to the new weapons system it makes sense if mgs were still there it would mean 7 different options innwould slot, but I hate the new system so I don't agree with reason anyway.
