Seriously. I don't understand! If they start forcing every multiplayer game to run at 30 frames, people are gonna be pissed. Destiny is one thing but they better not set a trend here. Otherwise hardly anyone is going to buy the consoles when a pc can actually run multiplayer games at 60 frames. It's just stupid. It doesn't make any sense even for them. They're going to lose out unless they figure something out.
Edit: Link above has alleviated my concerns. This is a good sign. Have a great day everyone!

It's 100% up to the devs. It always has been with the Scorpio. They will be able to make a game for exclusively Scorpio but they will have to cut out the majority of the consumers. Devs and customers will move to Scorpio then to the next console as time moves on and the industry moves forward.

2 RisposteTitanfall 2 runs at 60fps on console I believe
-
5 RisposteOnly ps4 pro is confirmed to have to run at 30 fps, scorpio hasn't been commented on.
-
Power depends on marketing rights honestly. Sony is going to keep scooping up all the best games rights and tell them they want parity between consoles. So if the pro is 4k 30 so will the Scorpio. Smart move on Sony part. Keeping people more interested in the PS4 then E3 comes and the slash the price of the pro down. Xbox needs to get it's head out of their ass and get some good marketing rights or they will never make Scorpio what it can be.
-
To make money.
-
2 RisposteThere is no point in getting a Scorpio. Sony can buy marketing and exclusive rights to every game and they can withhold power from Xbox. Let's say Scorpio is the beast we been hearing. Awesome. But Sony is going to make sure, let's say, Battlefront 2, looks the same on Scorpio as PSPro. Marketing and exclusive rights are going to a new level.
-
Scorpio must be on to something since PS4 buying rights to Lawbreakers and FarCry5

1 RispondiModificato da SpongyMallard7: 5/22/2017 6:28:13 PMA lot of people don't care about FPS or 4k resolution. They buy stuff because they say it's bigger and better. It's comes down to the devs on whether or not they care to make a game 4k or 60fps.
-
5 RisposteWhat really needs talked about is what happened to PS pro not being able to do native 4k? It has been confirmed that d2 will be native on PS pro. Not dynamic.
-
2 Risposte99% of people who actually buy video games and consoles don't give a shit about frames per second. If they're told that X is more powerful than Y, and graphics will look prettier they'll buy X regardless.
-
1 RispondiModificato da puppyk1sses: 5/22/2017 1:42:32 PM60 FPS / 1080p >>>>>>>> 4K / 30FPS How does anyone not get that? For other games, pretty can be better, but for shooters and competitive games that should be non-negotiable. Makes your game play twice as fast.
-
5 RisposteThis is why I'll always suggest PC. Complete control over your experience. You want 60fps? You can have it. Want a higher resolution and don't mind sacrificing framerate to do it? Boom, done.
-
They can run at 60fps but overall it comes down to the developer as to how they balance between graphical quality, object distance and fps stability. As for the Pro and Scorpio they could increase the fps but in most cases they will go for graphics, especially when it comes to multiplayer games so as to not give a possible advantage based on what you buy.

9 RisposteModificato da shell: 5/22/2017 12:28:14 AMIt's really because of the developer, at least in Bungie's case. Destiny could likely run at 60FPS on a regular PS4, but that's way too much effort for Bungie.
-
Because most people don't care about high framerates....and prefer the higher resolution. Especially since 4K TVs are coming down in price, and will be come a lot more common in homes.
-
3 RisposteModificato da ABeardedViking: 5/21/2017 6:02:49 PMYou are only referring to one game that wouldn't be 60 FPS aren't you? Their will probably be other games that can run 60 FPS
-
6 RisposteI wasn't going to buy one in the first place, but definitely not if consoles will still struggle to reach 1080p at 60fps. What's the point if they can't reach that? I doubt we'd see a better render distance and anti-aliasing if they can't even reach a stable 1080p at 60fps..
-
Why do people always say everyone would get a pc if a console can't do something?
-
2 RisposteAnyone who still plays destiny at this point ...probably wouldnt care by the time it releases.
-
They quite literally have been marketing 4k visuals. Not once have they focused on achieving 60 FPS in games. I know Microsoft has said developers can choose how to use Scorpio's power so that will be interesting. I haven't read a reliable source, but I've heard that Sony is requiring framerate parity between PS4 and PS4 Pro for online games.
-
A lot of games are running at 60, but yeah, I wish devs/publishers would prioritize stable framerates.
