I'm scrolling through the replies in this thread and there are so, so many bitter and judgmental people here. I'm surprised how some of them even manage to breathe with their heads so far up their own ass. My suggestion is to simply pay it little mind. Destiny's community is fairly toxic, so expect there to be some misguided people around. Not everyone is bad, but also not everyone is good. The social degradation of the gaming community in the past several decades can not be ignored, but it is still sad to think about. Console gaming went from playing with your friends on the couch, whether it be at your house or theirs, to being constantly surrounded by people you don't know. People you'll never meet. People that simply become distant. Distance. That's what it really is. After a while, people become disjointed from socialization. After all, you're a stranger to them; they may never even speak to you again. This distance, it causes a bitterness in some people and this bitterness is very visible in how they interact with people. They forget what it is to have a friend. It's as though they forgot what it is to be human. Age is a number, it's experiences in life that determine a person. Their memories. Their life. I know people in their thirties that never grew up, that have the spirit of a ten year old. Great people. They really are. But I have also met people in their twenties that have seen some truly horrific things in their lives. Lived through tragedy. Suffered. They seem empty, and they seem so cold. You could swear that they were angry old men if you heard them talk. So, pay little mind. We're human. We're imperfect. Don't let those that lost their way bring you down. Keep your chin up and never grow old.
