I'm just trying to understand why Bungie decided to nerf reconstruction and auto-loading holster? It really messes up rocket rotations first of all and rockets weren't the problem and were perfectly fine where they were in the meta. If anyone could give me some reasons I haven't considered that'd be appreciated since that's really confusing to me.

Thinking it over, I'm just going to continue using ALH / Reconstruction to spite them. Or I'll use alternatives that are just as good as Envious Arsenal. I'm not going to engage with the tonics. Also, they shouldn't have touched Witherhoard. That devalues it as an exotic.

1 ReplyTo make things harder for the player. Everything they do is to make things less fun and more grindy to increase "engagement." It's funny the helldivers devs started doing crap like this and their gamers completely rioted, to the point that the devs are now walking back all the nerfs they made and buffing everything. And they haven't nerfed nearly as much as Bungie has over the years. Yes this is also a PvP game but the vast majority of the nerfs (this one included) are about PvE. Point is, their mission is to nerf fun. A never-ending battle it would seem.

1 ReplyThis is why grinding for the perfect roll is "NOT" worth it anymore 😑
-
1 ReplyBecause they want you to stand still and shoot one weapon for an entire DPS phase Or because it was fun to use

6 RepliesEdited by Cal: 10/10/2024 4:59:48 PMBungie thinks ruining perks/weapons/subclasses "opens up the opportunity for other things to shine" That's also why ruining the game has " opened up the opportunity for other games to shine"

25 RepliesStreamers need game harder since no ones playing d2 or watching d2 tutorials so bungie uses it fanboy rainbow Mafia instead to tell players in the forums it was because power creep blah blah ,Git gud. bungie doesn't give a flying f on how long it took you to craft or unlock a weapon roll it's getting nerfrd pointlessly to keep the top 10% of no lifers happy
-
They want to ruin the game for others..they are called the fun police for a reason

friendship ended with edge transit 👎👎👎👎👎 now bitter sweet with sympathetic arsenal + bait and switch is my best friend 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

They’re nerfing how effective they are in dps encounters so that they aren’t as dominant game wide. They’ve instead introduced a new active perk for damage rotations, where damaging targets with your two other guns will reload it, so you have more variety in rolls to chase. Still am not a personal fan of the nerfs, but there is a reason for it. ALH should have been spared imo.

I turned the game on and noticed it straight away with my lost signal. Reconstruction i can sort of understand as it also reloads to double the capacity, but auto loading holster didn't need a nerf imo. Please revert this.

Edited by Balarke on youtube: 10/10/2024 8:18:01 PMstupidest nerf Imo there was no need for this at all #buffautoloading

1 ReplyAt this point I think they are trying to kill the game.
-
Because they can. It's never more than that
-
13 RepliesTo create differentiation and encourage grinding for new loot that expands the skill band and requires a little more agency of the player. Envious Arsenal... perks like that. AL and Reconstruction are passive. They should be lower tier respective perks requiring more mindful play and tactics.
-
Because Bungie wants all damage rotations to be sitting still shooting one gun. This is one of the MANY patches they've specifically targeted to reduce skill gap lol
-
1 ReplyThey’re very strong perks with basically 0 opportunity cost. Envious is really the only perk that could compete on GLs and Rockets, and Envious’s kill requirement limits it uptime. Theyre nerfing them to give you a reason to chase different rolls. It’s not bad or good, it’s just neutral
-
2 RepliesI don't think any of you are ready for this answer. You have auto loading or reconstruction on your weapon, why would you use any other gun on bosses? This whole weapon swap meta is trash plain and simple. It's complete and utter garbage. It's the most boring rolls you could get.
-
1 ReplyWait! I never saw that patch note. What was the nerf????
-
13 RepliesThey needed it?!?!? Reload perks were making the game/ damage time stale it was about time they switch it up and by no means they are useless you can still use them just they are not the best any more forcing you to SWITCH it up go try envious arsenal (doing damage with the other two guns reload this one from reserves) it’s an active thing you need to do something for it to work Its on omniscient eye(garden sniper), tomorrow’s answer(trials rocket), wicked sister(vanguard gl) profet of doom (garden shotgun) liturgy(new double shot echo gl), and bitter/sweet (new heavy echo gl )

2 RepliesA nerf to Reconstruction, that’s fine. A nerf to Auto Loading just makes it a worse version of Reconstruction. The benefits of Reconstruction even while nerfed still out way Auto Loading.
-
Also, I am glad this post is gaining traction (even to the detriment of my own post on the subject, which I wrote like 4 minutes before this one, hah). I fully expected this to be something no one really cared about explicitly because Autoloading Holster was so overshadowed at this point. I'm not super confident that Bungie will see this and take action (since they seem to listen far more to the whims of streamers than us common folk), but hopefully I am wrong!
-
2 RepliesThis was also something that bothered me. Even if it is to address overall rocket launcher DPS, why change it across the board? It is now practically useless on all special and primary ammo weapons - since the autoloading armor mods will get your weapon more than 50% reloaded before it would trigger. It also puts things like the already-outclassed Loaded Question even further into obscurity, without trying to RNG for a newer version, which is just...kind of bad-feeling. I thought the reason they un-set those weapons is because everything else had power-crept up around them, why then go back and make them worse, while leaving much more extravagant perks untouched?
-
The fact that they nerfed it on EXOTIC weapons that have it is utterly stupid. There’s absolutely no reason they couldn’t distinguish it from legendary counterparts.
-
Such a bad move,it feels awful now...

1 ReplyEdited by Giona: 10/9/2024 10:03:44 PMIt will give new perks room for choice! Under the met conditions, it will be faster to activate perks that are not as passive, like Auto-Loading Holster. It is nice to see other options not step on the toes of other perks that do similar functions. What it comes down to is what you choose your perks for and your own playstyle. We have to understand that power is always relative. These changed perks are not diminished in their effectiveness. If Auto-Loading is useful to you because it was the fastest option, then there are probably ways to get it faster elsewhere. If you like it because your playstyle goes hand in hand, then that's probably still something you enjoy!

Just bungie doing bungie things to force you to play the game the way they want you to, nerf it to make you hate it then you might use something else because god forbid some salty dude or the elitist loser might complain.
