Crucible is one of the best PvP modes in recent years imho
Just after seeing a few whiney posts about it, figured I'd just lay this out there because its true...its one of the best and most balanced PvP modes in awhile, nothing ever really feels OP, because there's always ways to strike back. Since September I've played crucible daily for hours, its my go to shooter for matches.
The beauty Is every weapon feels pretty good and all have their own spin. You can smash face with ARs, Fusions, scouts, HCs, shotties.... I love how each weapon feels fairly different and allows for plenty of styles. I just recently moved into fusions and scouts and both are becoming favorites. I'll always be an AR/shotty guy but this game is making me playing different styles because of how much variation there can be in weapons.
I jut figured in a sea of complaints I'd toss this out because I wasn't really thinking I'd PvP a lot when destiny was still on its way and I've become hooked to the crucible. Also with the way Halo MCC is a total disaster, its made me appreciate crucible that much more. Bungie shows they are the master of fun PvP.
Who else has found it to be one of the best newer pvps?

1 commentaireIt's fun, it just needs more variety. And I will never understand why people say it's unbalanced. They come from games where the only variation between players was skill, thus they were on top because they were the best in those games. They don't understand that this game is the first truly balanced game in a long long time. If you have true skill you'll be fine with a standard primary, but if you suck like me, skill alone won't cut it. So I use fusion rifles. They're one hit most of the time and make me feel like I'm actually contributing. And when that fails I can shoulder charge other people, or throw down a Titan slam. This game is balanced because those who lack the skill of others can still be a major threat. It's not unbalanced with the best constantly pummeling everyone else into the ground from afar with snipers or constantly being on target with their primaries. Anyone who screams about it being unbalanced are just mad they aren't on top anymore with their skill alone.

8 commentairesThe crucible lacks a couple of thing, important things to make it good. - Ranked, why? Because people have to play against and with equally skilled players to have that nerve wracking fun experience. Supers would be countered, they would be clutch and you would have to be more careful using it. Now its spam-able because there is such a wide gap between skill level. - More game modes: Flag, bomb, 2v2, 4v4, custom games, snipers, supers, heavy, hardcore 4v4 with rare special and heavy spawn, no radar. - Rank vendor with cosmetics and titles. - Horde mode, why? Because people love it, and would play it endlessly.

I used to love crucible. But now after the buffs and nerfs it sucks

I've enjoyed the crucible more lately. Discovered you can make some cool builds out of the pvp armor you get from the dice rolls. Sure i don't get to carry the flag in the beginning but my build has more direction.

Agreed! I know this is terribly unfashionable to say; but i really enjoy the PvP in Destiny!

1 commentaireAnyone that doesn't think its balanced is probably just bad! The amount of variability with weapons and classes and perk choices is astounding for just a basic multiplayer mode, and the fact that all of it is so well balanced is impressive to say the least.

It is refreshing and not op at all everyone had their moments during a match

1 commentaireAbout as much fun as watching grass grow or paint dry. Actually... Watching grass grow may be more interesting AND fun! It's pretty bad... I'll admit I'm not that great. But even when with a team of 6 kicking booty - I'd prefer the paint dying or grass growing. I only ground out ib for gold spiral.

1 commentaireI've found it to be good fun as a PvP. Personally though I think Titanfall is FAR better as a PvP only comparison, Destiny on the whole though is a better game purely because Titanfall does not have a Campaign mode.

3 commentairesCrucible is designed for noobs. Shotguns , ability powers, fusion rifles, these melee attacks. Take me back to the good days with a br and a sniper. Way more skill

i found it to be laggy and full of people bad at games who just use fusion rifles and shotguns. also the game chat still sucks because it should just work, not have to enter a chat channel

1 commentaireI like the fact that it supports so many different play styles, not one is better than the other you can play your style and do well whatever that might be. Makes for some pretty dynamic and intense matches, especially when you get two 6 man queues head to head. That's when it gets really fun and challenging.
