This started out by expressing my opinion and it's turned into a hate fest, Let me tell u guys something, these are all the games that were supposed to kill Destiny (I have most of them btw)
First up is advanced warfare everyone said "oh no this one will be different give it a chance" well guess what it's a piece of crap the graphics are terrible there are game breaking bugs and the same old 12 year old squeakers.
Second we have sunset overdrive, this was said to kill Destiny as well but it turned out it was also a pile of crap with its mediocre controls and boring gameplay your basically asking yourself for a seizure with this one. Honestly I was bored after one hour.
Third we have Shadow of Mordor which was supposed to kill Destiny but it turned into a mediocre game with a small storyline and 20 missions and all missions would take place in the same old field I got bored of this one as well.
Fourth we have the Master Chief Collection which was supposedly going to quote "put the final nail in the coffin" for Destiny but nope this game could not have been more disappointing, sure halo brought us a revolutionary multiplayer but it just doesn't feel like Halo, the matchmaking doesn't work there is a lot of lag and switching to another sequel was frustrating. The AI was broken at sometimes and it was horrible I would not recommend this to anyone.
Finally we have Assassins Creed Unity this one, oh boy was probably the worst. First of the game isn't even that social the storyline is complete garbage and it's the same old Assassins creed you just jump of rooftops and assassinate the bad guys really nothing new.
Dragon age is next... I'll be watching
I don't think Destiny will ever die the tower is always full and prosperous I think Destiny will love for a long time, thanks for reading!
See you on the battlefield Guardians!!

I'll play AC Unity for the Story and Destiny for Gameplay Fun

1. Never say never. 2. It will die 3. It will die sooner than you think if Bungie keeps f*king up. 4. None of those games will drive Destiny population to 0 5. However, it will incentivize people to leave. 6. There is a general displeasure with the lack of content. 7. All it takes is another skyrim-like hit to really punch Destiny in the gut. 8. People that are still playing don't want to forgo their effort in attaining those exotics 9. People that are still playing are casuals playing an hour here and there 10. When more games come out, less and less people will play Destiny 11. The end will come, not now, not 2-3 months, but within a year. 12. If things aren't improved within 1 year, this game WILL die.

its already dead imo, but ill respect your opinion
-
Destiny is mediocre.

12 commentaires"... it's the same old Assassins creed you just jump of rooftops and assassinate the bad guys really nothing new." Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

2 commentairesDestiny wont die. Even the people that quit playing the game and dont like it are still talking about it on the forums everyday. Hate all you want, Destiny is here to stay.
People that talk shit about destiny on the destiny forums really dont know how stupid they look

Real talk
DAI is getting 9-9.5 from most. It probably isn't going to disappoint.
-
The OP's reasoning is sound. All the games that were supposed to "kill Destiny" have not done so. Destiny has lost most of its freshness, but its foundation is good. The competition has either come out or is soon to come out. The next step is Bungie's.

5 commentairesWith all the flaws on this game (lack of story, nerf this nerf that, patches which break the VOG) I still love the game. Dunno why but i keep coming back although friends that play the game has dwindle a lot. Maybe i just love the universe they created, interesting classes ( only play warlock but kinda love the diversity) and also sharp gunplay. BUT..BUT once Dragon Age arrives, it might be time to eject the disc out of my console. (Been inside since the game launched xD ) Was fun Bungie. I will be back doing nightfall, visit that Rahool bastard etc on weekend. Hopefully once all the dlc come out with all the stories, this game will be a masterpiece Tl;dr : money well spent for this game, but Dragon Age say hello :)

2 commentairesModifié par PHANTOM JLK : 11/12/2014 3:16:36 PM*cough**cough* uhmmm assassins and master chief kind've did(sorta CoD) ad here's why: No ONE in my friends list plays destiny " but hate troll it's just your friends list"-well that maybe true, but talking people in my friends left to a conclusion that pointed towards people leaving destiny. The upcoming games DA:I and GTA:5 are going to bury the game and TC:Division is going to write the Epitaph( no pun intended) on te grave. Thanks guys for those who read. Please no hate comments, this is just my opinion. Feel to leave you'd below:)
if you were wondering I copied this from my thread I made:)
Play WoW. Ull never get bored. WoD is launching in about 18 hours I'm pumped

This is why - http://vhil.stanford.edu/pubs/2006/yee-psychology-mmorpg.pdf It's a psychological thing.

Agree... not for all points, but anyway... And to all of you guys that don't like the way Destiny is, or will be, why are you here ? Nothing better to do ? Why don't you just play with your favorite game, that obviously is not Destiny ? and why are you here to speak so much about what you dislike ??? What is the real point here ??? :)

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes has more content and replayability than Destiny. A $30 demo. That is why Destiny is sinking. All aboard the Destanic.

I love this game. Half of the games that were supposed to kill destiny were basically single player games that really would have no effect on someone never playing the game again. The only thing that can kill destiny is destiny. The next two DLCs will determine their long term plan for most players. (I don't know when the second DLC comes out but it should be quicker as 3 missions - 1 raid and 1 strike will not hold up for a long time) and the bugs which kick players after 39 seconds. Yesterday I could not stay in a mission at all, literally landing and then getting shot back to orbit thanks to bee or weasel. Not going to lie, after 400 hours of play I was ready to snap the disk in half. Destiny can only destroy itself and i sincerely hope it doesn't.

Every game you listed on that list is way better than Destiny. Destiny is the most generic and recycled crap I've seen.
-
3 commentairesMost likely Destiny will kill Destiny, the game is newer and new people are constantly joing up but that wont last forever and if there isnt serious content released this game will die a slow repetitive death. Metal Gear Solid 5, Fallout 4, or possibly another BF:Bad Company will most likely kill Destiny for me.
-
Dragon age will be a brilliant game (jesus have you seen the -blam!-ing reviews) and i will play it to death as I have every bio ware game I have owned, I will play it until I know the characters lines off by heart and I have screwed every single female character in the game that is in fact screwable. I will do everything the game has to offer (except join the templars, -blam!-ing religious nut jobs) and then I will get a message from a friend asking me to play destiny and i will. Destiny is a good game It has shit content Limited class choice Small world's And if you don't read no story... But it's fun as shit.
-
Destiny is the first game I ever spent money on and I'm loving it. And yeah I'm serious.
-
3 commentairesI'm afraid its dead on Xbox one - everyone is now playing MCC and advanced warfare on my 200+ list , I guess the low content for Xbox players in the next dlc was the final nail in the coffin for Destiny. RIP Destiny on Xbox1
-
As an Xbox one Destiny player, I can say that, from my perspective, Destiny is declining. I wouldn't say it was dead and I wouldn't say it was dying, as there seems to be a portion of this fan base who will play the game regardless of what other games come out and regardless of its flaws and repetitiveness. I wouldn't say those things, but I would certainly say that the game is declining. The prognosis doesn't look particularly great, either, even with the new DLC coming up.
-
7 commentairesit dies thu 13 i bet you no one will be playing this game on he 13 y there shuting it down ha
-
11 commentairesHalo MCC would have killed Destiny if... It was on current gen AND last gen. Expecting me to pay an extra $400 is BS. They lost hundreds of thousands of sales from this decision.
-
4 commentaires240+ hours and I cant even bear to put the disc in the console let alone launch it. I am hoping that there will be a lot more content with the next "expansion" (not holding my breath tho) as they are calling it but I suspect bungie has died as a "fan-loving" company since they do not support the community, only their wallets. Also before people say "Every big company ONLY cares about their wallet. I would like you to move your attention over to tera.enmasse.com and check out everything they offer and at what price. Then go play the game FOR FREE and watch how much FREE stuff you get from this MMORPG which just happens to have faster combat but not as much content as World of Warcraft. I am sure there are plenty of more examples like that even in today's world of greedy backstabbing cockbites, but I like Tera so there is no reason for me to look around.

This is true. And if people are leaving Destiny, it sure hasnät impacted the gameplay at all. I never have to wait for strikes/Crucible I always get a raid group within 5 minutes after posting on the forums (with randoms) I always see a lot of people in the Tower - even though it doesn't mean much. Now, the feeling of "deadness" doesn't really apply to Destiny comapred to your traditional MMO where you have more of a social interaction with textchat, auction house, crafting etc - components that a MMO needs to have to make it feel alive and vibrant. And when you're in "open world" - Patrol - you don't really want alot of people around you since you're either farming or doing patrol missions.

2 commentairesPlease don't mistake Destiny for a good game. You're better than that. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, if I had Unity, I'd drop Destiny like a hot rock immediately. I don't know what game you're playing but the player count is definitely diminishing. With good reason too. Hell, I'd drop Destiny for Rogue any day of the week also.
