I have no problem with total console exclusivity. For me, Planetside 2 and H1Z1 look kinda cool, and they're both PS4/PC exclusive, but I'm not burned because I didn't pay for either game. I gained nothing but lost nothing, and that's fine.
I also have absolutely no problem with promotional agreements. We can all agree the Taco Bell commercial was at least corny enough to be funny. Again, i'm not hurt so that doesn't matter.
Guess what, I don't even have a problem with short term timed exclusives. Second Assault was X1 exclusive for 3-4 months while I was still on 360. I don't care that someone else has the product, so long as I will pay the same and get the same in a REASONABLE amount of time.
Bungie/Activision clearly did not fully consider the consequences of partial exclusivity for 1 year. That means that they would cut a small chunk of content from an already repetitive game. That means that they would cut small bits out of tiny "expansions." That means that the story needs to be piecemeal enough to cut it up at Sonys bidding. All of this adds up to look more and more like Titanfall (literally on sale for $25 (US) with the season pass being $6.25) in that it WILL depreciate quickly as it is abandoned. Getting the content later will give the game and its expansions a surge in sales, but I have no doubts that Activision will be giving everything Destiny related away by that point anyway, so what's that going to matter?
I know that I won't be paying for any future expansions until i see what is in them and how much I won't get for the same amount of money.

Iplayed Halo reach for over a year after it was released as did most of my friends. This will not happen with Destiny. We are all on XB1 and are so fed up with Destiny. I personally have done the raid 14 times and helped countless others finish it, yet have still to recieve one piece of Raid armor, this is also true of some of my friends. It is not very fair when you do the raid with those who have never done it before and some walk out with loads of loot and I yet again end up with a pile of shards or energy for my troubles. This is happening to a lot of people, all you have to do is Google it and see how a lot of people feel about this. Who wants to play a game that demands so much time only to recieve nothing for the effort, How many people will continue with the game? Not many. Don't Bungie realise that if someone isn't rewarded time and time again they will move on and find a game that will reward them for their effort! Isn't this common sense? Last night two of my friends were playing Destiny out of 32 online, this is because of COD of course, how many will be playing next week when Halo comes out? very few I should think. I invited some friends to do a Raid with another friend and I and each one said no. Two said they would never touch Destiny again and had traded in their games for COD. These two were in the same boat as me, they played the game day after day, hour after hour yet recieved nothing of value for their efforts, so like me (and I am sure countless others) they have given up on the game and moved on (well I will when Halo comes out, not a COD fan). On top of all this Bungie seem to have a bee in their bonnet with Xbox users, these cruicible games are only done on PS4, so Xbox users are forgotten or not even considered then to top it off we have to wait a year for full access to the game as some stuff is PS4 exclusive. Do Bungie forget that it was Xbox users who put them where they are today? How arrogant do you have to be to think that people will still be playing the game a year from release. Maybe we would if you hadn't pissed off so many people with your reward system. Like seriously, I have friends who get 30+ kills in the cruicible nearly every time, 44 on on occasion I played with him, he says the same thing, he gets nothing for his efforts time and time again only to watch some guy who got 2 kills and 20 death recieve loads of loot for the same game. He doesn't play anymore either. You mess this one up big time Bungie, which is ok, the mistake was not paying attention to the fans who told you again and again that the rewars system was messed up. Now we all have other games to play and most wont return to this one.

I'm glad I got my point across, I thought I wrote my comment in a really confusing way. That's part of what I'm saying, what was whatever big shot at Activision (or Bungie, but more likely the publisher) thinking? People aren't going to continue to play this game (ie. continue to buy DLCs and entice friends to buy the game) with as little content as is there, in addition to other problems with the game. So essentially, they're making less total profit (from long term game and DLC sales) and pissing off consumers. Then they decide to cut content (for a little less than half of the market) from an already small game just to make a little quick cash up front from Sony. Maybe The Division will be a much better co-op/RPG/Shooter... but I'm still not pre-ordering.
