To all people farming the Earth Hive Spot
Please stop being rude. Let me clarify something so we can all enjoy this spot while it is still available.
1. Back up. If you are standing next to the rocks by the ship, you are too close. You need to be right where the World Event spawns to be efficient.
2. Stop being dicks. Share the spot. It doesnt matter who kills it. as long as you are in the area you can get drops. No need to melee or step in front of someone.
3. Don't go in for ammo. If you run out, stand still for 30 seconds and your primary ammo will replenish. Go get something to drink. The less time you spend picking up ammo the more chance you have of a drop.
4. Take breaks! This can be tiring. If you are tired and others are there, just go do something else. It will stop you from being anxious and let others farm efficiently.
5. Pay attention to gestures. If you see someone walk in front of you and point back, it means you are messing up the spawn, or you are doing something wrong. People don't take time to do this without reason. Don't just stand there. When I see someone too far up, I point first at them, then towards the back. Just try to pay attention to what others are telling you.

4 commentairesJeeze! I don't understand. What's the point of farming in this game? To show off your character's legendary armor/weapons in PvP or something? Destiny is really not a MMO per say. There is no player driven economy to sell and trade loot, so what's the point?! I don't know why players are treating it as Runescape.

I had a problem with a guy today there too. Only went there to load up on amo and try and get some gear. Did one run came back was switching around my weapons and some douche starts shooting me. Like seriously F off if I came back first and u go behind me while I'm in the menu then it's your own fault.

I didn't even know this was a thing until today. I was heading to a public event which was supposed to be happening in that area (I looked at a website which times them and predicts them)and was waiting for it to start when I noticed 4 level 28s all standing in one spot and shooting into a cave. At first I thought it was one of those enemy skirmish events, but I pretty quickly figured out what was going on. I helped for like 4 minutes and got somewhere in the vicinity of 2 legendary engrams, 5 rare engrams, and a dozen uncommon weapons/armors. This pushed me from a level 24 to halfway through level 25 and gave me some great stuff. Furthermore, once I was done decrypting everything I leveled up the cryptarch guy and it gave me [I]another[/I] legendary engram and that turned into an exotic helmet. T'was a pretty freaking lucky turnabout for a random 4 minute encounter lol

6 commentairesModifié par Smoking Kilis : 9/19/2014 8:56:33 PMI didn't know that you had to be a certain distance to the cave until a hunter that was trying to farm there started stabbing me and then pointed behind me and it dawned on me what he wanted. We ended up with 6 guardian's (one of each class how awesome) all farming in peace. The whole experience got topped off by a warsat public event landing two meters behind us and then the "enemy is moving against each other" right after. If this is what bungie meant by epic "social" experiences they got it right.

Case study #1: WoW Case study #2: Runescape Should you be able to realize this we would then up you to MMO 102 by the following procedure of going to the Student services desk at the front of RNG heaven. In all seriousness though, every game has farming. Even Minecraft does so just stop complaining about it.

5 commentairesThe people crying about it being an "exploit" has e obviously never played an mmo of any sort... They would join an mmo and end up reporting everyone for killing the same mobs over and over lol. It's the way of the game. You farm mobs for drops. It's how the game works. Please go play another mmo to understand before you bring you /facedesk worthy complaints here.

I would like to say that for the two times I did farm, I broke rule number 1 obliviously. See, the first time I went and tried it out by myself, and the spawn rates were exactly the same, no matter where I stood (the very slow spawn rate that you get by the rocks) so I thought that people were just overestimating the minimum distance. Today I did it and other people showed up and didn't really say anything while I was sitting on the rocks shooting the slow spawning acolytes. Then someone had a fit and started harassing me, but I thought he was just being an ass or overcautious. Then someone sent me a voice message that I ignored because my speaker set up (i.e. None/tv speakers) doesn't let me understand voice communication. Luckily I'm getting a microphone. Then another guy sent me a nice text message (no sarcasm) explaining that they spawn faster when you stand back. Lo and behold they spawned at triple the rate and I have no idea what was going wrong when I tested all by myself and got misleading results. Live and learn.

3 commentairesTo be honest, I use this as a method for just quickly replenishing my ammo for my primary, secondary and heavy weapon after a hard strike mission. If an engram drops every now and then well woop-dee f*cking doo! :)

15 commentairesAnd if you're gonna be out there and expect to get loot you better be putting in some effort as well. Today there was a Lvl 13 just sitting on the grass not helping at all. And yet was getting drops. So I shot the ground at the person to get their attention, pointed , etc and the person decided to be asinine and start hitting me and getting in scope. (Not sure how they were hitting me bc I was in PVE and they weren't on my fire team.) So note to all. Please put in an effort and stop having others do the effort for you. That just frustrates me!

2 commentaires#1 can't be stressed enough... Farmed a few minutes the other day and one dude was way too close and wouldn't heed my messages or emotes. They stilled spawned but not nearly as fast.

Tbh it's not cheating or abusing it, someone has obviously used the brain they have and sussed out an sat there like oh they respawn thus getting loot, pretty sure if anyone else who rants about it had of spotted it they'd be over the moon not complaining

19 commentairesCheck this Was at the cave. In the lower left corner above my special bar it said. "The enemy is moving against each other" then outta no where we get swarmed by wizards, elders Exploders, eyes, and other yellow named enemies. I died a couple times. Anyone have this happen to them?
