During beta I'd always get in close quarter fights where me and my opponent start having a (knife/fist/energy blast/) fight and it'd usually end out where the titan or warlock would just simply one hit me with a special melee they have. How ever the Hunter only has a throwing knife that only critically wounds a opponent and in that time you throw it you have to pull your weapon back up and during that time period they can easily have killed you.
What I'm trying to say is the Hunter class cannot compete with the Titan or Warlock class at all when it comes to close quarters due to Hunters only being able to knife enemies and throw knives.
Note before you post, my current situation has been resolved. I've decided I'm going to just use blade dancer instead of gunslinger due to gunslinger not being good close quarters (at all, and don't argue you can't win fights all too much with that subclass, compared to the way you can with blade dancer)

There's a trick to it you shoot the person once or twice then hit
-
1 commentaireYou've clearly never been knifed in the face from a distance.

Anyone with a shotgun can win a close quarter duel.
-
1 commentaireYeah I think this is intended seeing as hunter has the only ranged melee. I actually like hunter's melee the best because it's saved my arse more times than I can count. There I am going toe to toe with a foe....I run out my clip and have to reload at critical health (oh no!) The enemy is beyond reach!! If I was a warlock or titan I'd be dead. But no! I'm a hunter! KNIFE THAT SOB! xD
-
2 commentairesThat's why as a hunter I try and keep my distance, I'll either throw my knife at them usually from behind and then melee, I got the majority of my throwing knife kills by shooting first and since your aim is already on the person throw your knife and they're dead, I found this got me the majority of my kills when throwing the onife
-
2 commentairesI would go with the warlock. Sure its weaker but it has a longer range than any of them besides the hunters throwing knife
-
2 commentairesHunters are meant to be the long range types so it kinda makes sense that they lose to the titan in a fist fight but I see your point with the warlock v hunter thing
-
On both my Titan and warlock,it usually takes two hits to drop any class from full health. Unless you get the random right cross to the dome of some guy that just got clipped as he falls from a slightly higher elevation at just the right angle and speed so that.....bahah. Nevermind.

1 commentaireTitan and warlock super melee does not insta-kill. It takes down to low health, and so we still have to get our gun back out and shoot.
-
4 commentairesThe knife is ranged. If the are far enough u get first hit. Shoot, knife and melee. It has happened where I go double KOs given the knife lagged because of the throw.
-
3 commentairesHunters as I'm sure you know. Are meant to be ranged. We are 'squashy when it comes to CQB. That being said I put 102 crucible matches in as a hunter. I lost about as many CQB matches as I won. The trick is like halo shoot them a bit before you melee. Because Titan and Warlock have the slight advantage in close up. But nothing player skill can't account for however.

10 commentairesLol i love how these Huntards are so self centered. It just goes to show what kind of people play that class. Op has the wrong info wait till hunters get the arc subclass, pvp will be full of these k/d closed minded asholes.
-
5 commentairesAll of the class's melees do the same damage. The throwing knife does bonus damage and critical hit damage. The titans fist does bonus damage on the initial hit but it doesn't make a difference because it's still a 2 hit kill. They're all on par with each other

1 commentaireWarlocks melee doesn't do extra damage to my knowledge, and the throwing knife is sick... Throw it before you get up close, finish them with a knife, your agility makes it simple.

Storm fist and Energy Drain take two hits to kill you, same as the hunters melee. I know because I'm in guardians faces in the crucible all the time with all three classes.

2 commentairesyou kids are all ass at the game, your trying to play destiny like its halo and its not

1 commentaireThe Hunter special is not just a throwing a blade it's the golden gun which does some serious damage because you can upgrade it massively so if you use it right you can definitely hold your own against the warlock or Titan but the Titans special is the most powerful by far but that's because of the way it was set up. And even at level eight you can increase the duration of the golden gun by just simply throwing a knife and killing something before you use your last shot and it increases the duration of the golden gun see you keep it going for a decent amount of time

1 commentaireStormfist doesn't one-hit.
-
2 commentairesMy combat history begs to differ with your analysis. Hunters are the ONLY class I'm going to be taking into PvP come September, and Gunslinger is awesome.

Well I have never been killed in one hit during a melee battle. How is your Internet!
