I'm fairly new to my one (I've owned it a little more than a month) and aside from the obvious horrible user interface, it seems that every other day I run into yet another nuisance that just shouldn't exist.
no longer can I send a message to all friends. Rather than improve on this feature from 360 and include an "add all" button, they make it to where we can send a message to 30 friends at a time. What the hell?
And also, why the hell can't we pre-download games yet? I know I've persisted with this but seriously, it's extremely convenient!
And just now I discovered yet another lack of a great feature: no voice messages?! Are you kidding me microsoft? For the life of me after racking my brain I can't imagine the benefit of taking this away from us. Voice messages are so much more convenient than sitting there typing out a long ass message, and now we can only send it to 30 friends at a time.
Listen: I love the xbox one. I love the games, I love the machine. But it's like.....microsoft finally learns how to design the hardware of their console properly, and then they completely disregard interface. why?

>thinks voice messages are good Ultimate lol mate. Voice messages are cancerous pieces of shit in comparison to texts.

I feel like it was rushed, or they just tried going completely somewhere else than we hoped. I have my issues with it, but it does add a lot of other features that would be impossible for the 360. Your list of things seems like easy small patches they've been gradually fixing step by step.

1 commentaireAgree, the good thing is that MS is reading feedback about problems like this. So maybe we can expect an update to fix it.

1 commentaireWhy in the hell can't I have my Assassins Creed theme? I miss it.

Modifié par Phantom Prey : 7/16/2014 12:19:30 PMI think they rushed it out to keep up with PS4's release date... I've had mine since day one and there's a lot of things they added in "updates" that should've been there from the start. So I think it's because it never was completely finished, not the fact that they blindly left things out. It may be a fixer upper, but those turn out to be the best kind of buys :)

Modifié par sims3k : 7/16/2014 12:02:31 PMSo YOURE one of those asshat kids that send voice messages to all recent players and friends. God i was so sick of "M2ARFAP hostin 50s lobby 1500ms pts for inv", im so glad they got rid of that shit on the xb1. But yeh i really want preloaded games, it should be out soon this year, before sunset overdrive releases.
-
pre-download games yes please, hopefully before Destiny. Voice messaging whislt convenient on the run, does give liberty to people to be arseholes. I once got a voice message that boomed across my lounge room "f*#ken loser c*#t" - I can sort of do with out, and the spamming.
-
... I like the UI and kinect voice navigation...
-
I just want background themes like xbox 360 the black theme is just plain boring and makes me want to turn the xbox one off.
-
I've always hated voice message
-
Voice messages are cancer

1 commentaireno custom backgrounds for xbox one and no awesome gamerpics are missing as well. I want gamerpics like 360 has (company promotional logos, game icons/images, movies, ete) and the ability to add our own backgrounds to the xbox one like the 360 can.
-
My friends had exactly the same problem, I haven't got a Xbox One yet or PS4. Remember how many changes there was to the 360's dashboard, the UI will improve. However after getting the 360 so right you'd think the Ones UI would be as good as or better to start out with. Not that they would start from scratch again.
Getting Xbox One first, I cannot wait :)
4 commentairesModifié par Ukimoi : 7/14/2014 9:13:43 PMYou also cannot change your Bio, motto, location etc from Xbox One. I don't think you can view it either which I don't understand why they went and did that.
-
1 commentaireI don't see why they didn't just use the 360 dashboard and UI and build upon it. But instead they had to go with the cluster-blam!- design because of "muh windows 8 on all our products".
-
we need one of these for the PS4 as well, i was shocked to find out that you cant pause downloads...

why?
The interface is superb IMO, but that's just personal preference Fair nuff, but those sort of things are exactly what MS have been adding, how about you actually suggest this to MS via Xbox.com? Pre-download is something that we will likely see pretty soon Voice messages were work of some evil creature, I am infinitely glad they are gone, so nothing from me on that one If you do not like typing out large messages don't, use Smartglass for messaging Actually they did not disregard the interface at all, it is designed to be optimised for the kinect, and it is, it's so brilliant and a huge improvement over the 360's UI. Especially the new "store" section, that is one design that I fucking love, 360's Store felt awfully fragmented and disjointed

1 commentaireIt was rushed presumably. Anyone can make a list of apparent features missing from the console when compared with the 360. There slowly adding in the features but it is weird to see how they moved from the 360 (which was a great all around console) to the Xbox One (which just doesn't have alot of common features).
-
3 commentairesBe patient, I know it's hard. They have changed a lot through updates, preloading is coming....just give it time. It's frustrating yes, but it will get better
-
5 commentairesNothing wrong with the interface. PS fanboys be mad that they can't cope with anything that isn't just a series of lists.
-
It just seems like M$ -blam!-ed up.
-
Microsoft -blam!-ing up things again it seems. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

4 commentairesI feel the same about PC. At least with PS4 they improved more than moving back. PC we have Win8 which still blows. I just want SteamOS/Linux to get more backing so I can actually use it.

Fortunately they have shown a great interest in listening to the feedback of the community and updating the system accordingly. The monthly system updates have changed and added a lot of features that people have been asking for. So yea, they might have taken a step backwards with the interface of the X1, but they're doing a great job responding to community feedback. I'm confident that if they continue on the path they're on the system will see some great improvements in the UI over time.
