Not sure if any of you are aware, but not too long ago Bungie announced their newest title known as "Destiny".
Now while I'm certain many of you are quite excited for Destiny to be released, one might find it difficult to really put faith in a game that is so inherently flawed and illogical. I know this statement might not sit well with you, and you might say to yourself, "Helveck how can you say such a terrible thing about a game that looks so beautiful and sounds so incredible?" Well, it's quite easy to make such a bold accusation when one decides to take a moment to step back, and analyze one majorly detrimental design flaw within the game itself.
The Traveler.
Bungie designed this enigmatic figure or character to act as a protector of the last city, without giving the appropriate consideration to the logistics of its design... How foolish.
"After the collapse of the Golden Age, we built our last safe city under the protection of the Traveler." - Bungie
So Bungie decided to design one of their LARGEST characters, or figures that appears to be mostly machine that hovers above the LAST safe city on the entire planet? Without giving ANY consideration to the fact that the Traveler's anti-gravity systems that allow it to hover could be damaged or fail, causing the megaton object to come crushing down on the remaining survivors of the human species.
If Bungie's writers had the appropriate amount of experience, why would they not have made it so the humans built their last safe city to the left or right side of the traveler? Would this not appear to be more logical? Not to mention the fear of being crushed by the Traveler, but that constant shade... What about the lack of Vitamin D? This game needs to go back to the drawing board, if Bungie wishes to have any success. This design simply does not make any sense, it's just not practical...
I really hope Bungie takes this into consideration before releasing a broken title.
