Kids in destiny!! Age Restrictions
I will admit I'm 12 but dose that really matter? Destiny we probably be teen rated and most likely kids will be playing it but all that matters is if they are mature enough to play it, i know the difference between Real and not Real and I'm not a "Squeeker" so as long as your mature enough that means you should be able to play it, Everybody was a kid once but it's even harder fitting in with the gaming community now then before.

Destiny will be an m game not a t game, but that aside as long as you're not screaming over the mic no one will care. Personally I have been playing halo since I was 6 so...

It's not up to a development team to determine if a kid should play a game, that's your parents job. Having a kid of my own I know it's up to me to determine if, what, and how much of a game is good for him. Parents should consider not allowing their kid to play with a headset with "mute all" turned on if they feel the game is fine but don't trust the conversation that goes on...and if the kid breaks the rules punishment is simple and effective: delete their online characters and wipe their hard drive. For you parents that may not know how just shoot me a message and I'll walk you through it.

As long as you aren't annoying I really don't care. Its the ones that scream expletives and racial slurs that get on my nerves. Just being a teenager is one thing. Being an obnoxious teenager is a different story.

I am 13 and am going to be or close to being 14 at the launch since people seem to be saying the twelve year olds are bad, 13 year olds seem to be just fine.

32 commentairesMe and my friend will play it, we're both twelve. Also our ten year old friend. We all agreed that after playing halo since we were all 5, we are quite mature enough to play destiny. It's sad that most people of the gaming community dislike kids because they are " squeakers ". just because your not older doesn't mean you can't be mature.

4 commentairesThis is a hard topic to discuss. We have to make clear two different concepts that people who discuss this topic often confuse. The first concept is age, how old or how young you are. I think there's no problem if a 12 year old plays a Mature rated game, let's be honest guys must of us already played Mature games when we were kids. The ERSB rating is just a cassification for parents to know what their kids are playing. Now, on the other hand, we have to consider that in this particular case, we are talking about an online game where the interaction with others is almost innevitable, so in this case it [b]does[/b] matter how mature are the guardians who will defend humanity beside us. No one would love to be fighting the Fallen and be annoyed by some 10 year old child whose voice pitch is higher than Wiz Khalifa. But there is the difference between one argument and the other, the first talks in matter of the age of the players, and the second one it involves maturity. Two concepts which ironically, most of the time they don't come together. I've met online and in real life, 13 year old kids that are mature enough to play focused on the game, not flame or shout on their headphones other players and stick to having some fun and winning the game. And Ive also seen an amazingly high number of players who are 22-23 and act like 5 year olds.

4 commentairesIn the Jason Jones IGN article he said he is aiming for a teen rating so he could game with his son. (I'm paraphrasing) But I also hope for a Teen rating and would love to play Destiny with my Daughter who loves video games, but is restricted from M ratings.

There will never be age restrictions on games, because their is always a way around them (like the 8 yr olds in COD). But its all about maturity. I would rather play with a squeeker, well-behaved 10 yr old than a 25 yr old asshole.

As long as you dont try to teach me how to play the game i dont mind younger people. I am also only 15 but i consider myself very childish and immature around friends. Besides that i can have a normal educated talk with strangers.
