In most MMO's there are Emotes your character can do.
I was thinking in Destiny, we could choose our stance we wanted our character to go in when were standing still with each weapon. or an Emote you character could do to attract another player.
Or you could Hold LB/L1 to get up a menu, and you could choose an emote or stance for you character to go in. and maybe a few taunts as well.
What do you think?

1 commentaireAs Cillen said, "emotes" are confirmed, when Bungie first revealed Destiny, they spoke about that encounter where a random player came in on a pike, got off it, and did an "emote" that signified "Let's do this," and then they went into a firefight.

itll be good

6 commentairesNah, Destiny isn't quite an MMO, so I wouldn't bother adding emotes to the game.

1 commentaireYeah I agree. Emotes and Taunts (or phrases) can help further build your character, rather than just looks

1 commentaireI thought that Portal 2's co-op ping tool for consoles was very good, as well as the emotes. Perhaps, it could be based on that ?

Atleast having simple emotes, like those seen in Fable 2, would go well with the concept art. If all I seen are repetitive poses and the dull look of action figures standing around, it makes the game look a lot less alive. Open game worlds clearly look more alive when characters are busy bodies even if they are NPCs.

1 commentaireYeah great. on day 1 people will find a way to make it look like they are E-Fucking

Emotes confirmed by eurogamer.

2 commentairesI second this, nice idea. How would you know you were doing the emote though? Gameplay will be in first-person. Or maybe there will an option to play in third-person?
-
2 commentairesT-bagging is the only emote I need.

1 commentairePending if you can switch the camera from First person to third person. It could be possible to do this in non combat zones. I could see it being similar to Playstations Home. Where you interact with others.

Cant wait to see myself look like a badass, and the capes, sweet swirling onion rings. SHOWAYAMOOOVES!

Depends what emotes i can do. If someone helps me kill a troublesome enemy i could surrounded by when going solo only for them to help me i'm going to want to high five them. Yet if i solo a powerful enemy and get a good loot drop only for someone to steal it i think something other than a highfive should be in order.

In the press release they said there would be emotes. Because when you are in the main city under the Traveler, presumably any nocombat/social area you will be in third person, so you can see your character and emotes. With it being in specific noncombat areas that would free up buttons used for combat to be used for other social and interactive uses.
