Every time I put up posts for divinity runs I have to spend half the time looking into applicants to catch cheaters before they get in. I see the same cheaters active in fireteam finder for months or over a year now. Any given time I can check FF and likely point you to at least one usual suspect cheater.
Then last night I make the mistake of letting some rank 11 scum(DIMM#####) into our teaching run only for him to call the LFGs I'm teaching "bots."
I'm so tired of this playerbase.

Yeah it's sucks because a lot of player don't realize and when they see these cheaters one shot a boss they are likely to be banned and lose their account because of it. It's really a shame that this happens honestly and ruins the integrity of the features, and makes it awful for a lot of legitimate players.
-
No no, it is very rare to be banned because you ended up in a fireteam with a cheater without your knowledge. Bungie is incompetent but they aren't entirely evil. Now, you meet a hard cheater and you keep doing runs with them knowing what they are doing that's a different story. Or if they can tie that cheater to a carry service or it's contest mode. Although on that topic I know of several players who have cheated desert perpetual contest clears who are unbanned.
-
Did you see mavens video on her contest equilibrium clear? 😂 Would have been terrible if she was banned for that.
-
I see what you are saying. I'm just saying that some players get enticed by cheaters because they know they can get a pass, most of which don't want to be banned but do not mind the free ride as long as they can get away with it.

Let me guess: God slayer title? 😂 I have yet to find a player that holds that title and is a good person online.

I helped a few friends get godslayer. Made a lot of friends and new clan members joined my clan due to me helping em. Think I had like 10 or 15 Sherpas in pantheon which was not easy especially for the later weeks.

Nope, adept II in comp though. Rank 11 Godslayer is such a meme. Was such a great event in Destiny but boy did it bring out the egos. Title stats Godslayer - 176k players VoG title - 139k GoS - 113k Crota - 38k Over 4x the people have godslayer over crota title. So rare.

Very true a lot of gatekeeping in that pantheon. I taught the riven encounter to like 10 people during pantheon, imo it was so much fun and was fairly easy with the right setup.
-
I still would like to learn legit Riven. Seems like quite an interesting boss encounter.

Modifié par Killapete232 : 1/14/2026 11:25:57 PMTbh it's fairly easy, using the glass to call out location to use the relic to move the team is more fun than behemoth syntho insta kill.

Both Bungie and WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE. At some point THIS COMMUNITY decided a culture of exploits was fine. I know the inflection point too. LW. It's not fine. It's never good. [I don't see it, it doesn't impact me... it's PvE]. And here we are. People like yourself having to vet applicants because they could get you or your crew banned for joining you w cheats. And some of these WEIRDOS are targeting. They're doing it on purpose.

Modifié par Killapete232 : 1/14/2026 8:08:21 AMYes agreed. As a player who prefers legitimacy and teaching players the mechanics for raids and dungeons the proper way Incase they want to run it themselves with friends ECT who never done them is how I do it. Take vog for instance, players will push the minotaurs off edge by freezing them not even doing the mechanic the right way. Crota they have a cheese where players who do the lantern segment can cheese it by having one player go to the end plate to pull enemy aggro off the rest of the team running chalice. Last wish there's a cheese to pre setup plates so they can just skip the wall mechanics on shuro chi. No one does riven legit either, I only ever learned it and taught it properly in pantheon, because anytime you wanna do it legit players will just quit and pretty much make everyone want to cheese it because no one wants to do it legit. This is why I think solo dungeons and solo raids should never be a thing, because it brings in a mindset that it doesn't require a team and proper coordination, and offsets the willingness to actually teach mechanics to new and first timers. One of the biggest issues I've encountered is ego tripping amongst each other about how they can do it solo and everyone is nothing in comparison to those who have the knowledge and ability to do these exploits. A lot of players farming clears for raid report hate how long it takes to do a full clear especially with someone new, then will say they will leave or have a few more tried before they quit. This then makes team morale even lower and eventually everyone follows suit leaving those who need help learning and or first timers high and dry. This then makes those players never want to experience that content again, which honestly sucks because those new and first time players never get a chance to learn and practice the mechanics till they full understand. Now there is also time commitment involved to and some players learning curves may not be on par with others so they will just do add clear which is going to hinder them in future runs, as players will say oh you got carried and start putting them down. This type of psychological bs is the reason why players will never touch that content again, in all my years of doing a Sherpa run or teach new and first timer I have always said practice makes perfect. By no means am I the best nor do I care to be, but one thing I can say for certain is I give my team all the time needed and teach everything in legitimacy. If I'm not fire team lead I always follow the leaders wishes and not oppose as I prefer to be there to make sure it gets done, just today I finished my first epic desert perpetual, and did every puzzle in that run. During this run a guardian had to go an pickup there brother irl, I as FT leader waited for them to return, one member was trying to get me to find another, I said no I'm waiting because they needed it as well. Eventually they returned and we completed the whole run, while they were gone a player did a puzzle without them there sadly, afterwards I took him back in to find out which one he missed and they finished the almanac quest triumph. Made a new friend and helped 4 others get that catalyst done, one of the guardians who had done this epic raid over 100 times was like why do you even want the catalyst? I said because it's the only thing I have left to grind for, in which case was the final catalyst I needed for 100% collection of all exotic weapons and catalyst in game. Thankfully everything worked out and got it done but I'll say after 3 months of trying as a solo queue player hosting LFG to find a group willing and capable to get this done has been a nightmare. I hope in the future Bungie never puts a catalyst behind an epic version again due to the gatekeeping that takes place, also want to say that if players do epic version of the raid it should drop only loot available to epic in that raid version. If I'm doing an epic raid but getting normal version loot, it deters the point of have 2 separate loot pools, epic raid should Always drop loot in the epic pool never normal loot from normal version. I had gotten not a single weapon from the epic desert perpetuals loot pool, only weapons from the normal version in my epic runs, this is just a slap in the face honestly. Sorry for the long reply enjoy your day guardian 🫡 🍻
