In sport's there is this concept, "Fair-Weather fan". What failure? A few months where the game is clearly having issues and multi-billion dollar franchise that's lasted a decade is now a failure? Or is that entitlement and hyperbolics... Is that "What have you done for me lately"? As Eddie Murphy satirized.... It's a reset, it's an overhaul... Bungie is literally half the studio it's used to be per their staffing. Isn't it such a coincidence that game is arguably in the worst state it's ever been as the CEO is being forced into retirement.
