No, I'm not going to spend an hour spending them on over 3,000 phantasmal fragments one by one. That's horribly boring and a waste of time, as well as too much inventory space used. I've been trying hard to spend them, getting down to about 32k, but the next thing I know, I stop for a moment and I reach back up to 35k. Bungie, please. I know you don't like it when veteran players hoard things, but if you reward players a sprinkle of something for participation but never give that player a good incentive to spend that something, of course it's going to build up over time. These shards are a manifestation of the time we as players have invested. Can we PLEASE get some reasonable way to spend them before they vanish? EDIT: For those who are telling me basically "to just spend them" I have to say that I HAVE been. Did you not read the title of this thread? Months ago when the announcement was made, I started trying to spend them up. I was sitting around 60k. I'm now about 33k and rising. At this rate, it's not going to happen.
