Are you saying that Instant-Kill abilities are too strong, and you think Warlock needs one to even the playing field? In that case, the solution is to nerf the outliers, not to buff everything else. (Remember, subclasses should also be balanced, so there are a LOT more subclasses that would need the ability) Warlock has many things Hunters and Titans do not. I don't see you advocating to remove all Class distinctions. Should Titans get Blink? Warlocks and Hunters have it. Etc. Instant-kill abilities are less consistent than abilties that deal less damage. For example, Duskfield grenades don't deal a lot of damage, but they're pretty consistent and have a fast recharge rate. Tripmine grenades deal much more damage but have a slower cooldown. In terms of which is better, I prefer the Duskfield. Consistency is more important than lethality, especially in Competitive modes. Freezing someone is practically an instant-kill. That's why it's difficult to hit someone with a Freezing ability. Abilities that are very lethal are balanced by being hard to use, having a long cooldown, or being very niche. Destiny is full of examples like that. Finally, even if you think Warlock deserves an instant-kill ability, why should Void Warlock get a buff when other Warlock Subclasses are less used and less viable? Don't make the rich richer.
