Just remove threadlings, radar ping, and magnetism from the decoy.

Radar ping needs to stay, running into it unaware would be worse. Drop threadling damage to 33-39 which would make the grenades in line with axions and be a slight specter nerf And yes remove reticle friction you shouldn't have to fight the game on top of your opponent. That's the big one. I could care less about the others but friction is its most powerful feature imo
-
Don't touch threadling damage. Threadlings don't deal that much damage as it is. It only seems bad because of how many hunters spam the decoy that keeps getting placed on the same team. That hurts warlocks dramatically and they can't spam nearly as much as hunters. Remove threadlings from the decoy and replace it with a blast that unravels targets.
-
Modifié par Zodleon : 12/20/2023 9:41:43 PMDropping it 6 points in pvp only wouldn't hurt warlocks in a meaningful way, and it takes it from a seelking grenade doing 145, which lets a hc one shot you or vice versa To 100ish damage, meaning that can't be used as a singular solution. Again, it would be in line with axions. As far th e replacement not a severing burst but a tangle to synergise wiry their other fragment. With some kind of cooldown to mitigate spam Again tho it's the reticle friction that's the real problem and I'd like to see that gone first

Axioms barely tickle. Threadlings you can shoot or jump over them. People are always jumping anyway so I don't even see why threadlings are that big of an issue on anything other than hunter decoys. They weren't before so they won't be if they just remove threadlings from the decoys.
-
Axions deal about 100 damage which is enough to kill a half health guardian. Besides it is a problem when higher skill players use them even without specter bc it forces you to respond. If the ppl you're facing aren't throwing them and then using that forced reaction to gain the upper hand in engagements they probably aren't at that skill level. The distraction is bad enough without considering the things it let's one tap you if you can't respond. I think they need to be brought below a breakpoint. Either way we can agree to disagree here.
-
The decoy only forces a reaction because of the intense magnetic pull it has on your aim. Otherwise, it's very easy to ignore, not get too close to trigger it. Most hunters never place them strategically. They just spam/panic. Threadlings can't be tuned separately aside from the warlock super. Otherwise, I'd be down for toning down clone threadlings only. Threadling grenade is fine. It's a grenade and it's supposed to be fairly strong even though it's on the weaker end of grenades. Lightning grenades, tripmines, vortex, ect. All deal much more damage and far more quickly.
-
Modifié par Zodleon : 12/21/2023 1:13:09 AMThose grenades also don't chase you down and have to be placed strategically. I'd argue that considering it's ease of use and even considering it technically on the lower end of total damage it's just as tactically useful as a lightning grenade but In more circumstances. And once you're out of them you're out threadlings can chase quite a distance
Most hunters never place them strategically. They just spam/panic.
This is the crux of the disagreement on the subject. Once you hit a skill threshold it gets exponentially more usefull. For example me and another guy push around a corner I have a slug they have conditional. I drop a specter to eat his shot and slug him behind it. (This isnt a hypothetical) Even i hadn't landed the slug throwing down threadlings would have guaranteed a win for as long as I didn't have a monumental fumble. The pvp specific nerf I'm proposing is fairly conservative. Like I said I feel this is a agree to disagree situation. Our perspectives on the matter come from different parts of the pvp spectrum Edit: I'd like to add that axions the closest comparable grenade to threadlings had massive usage before they nerfed its damage (which I believe was close to threadling grenades total damage now) and they're still good.
-
Axions were only used in pvp. Threadlings have tremendous benefits in pve and moderate benefits in pvp. Especially for warlocks. They don't need a nerf, they just barely got buffed in pve. All that needs to happen is remove them from the decoy and have the decoy unravel upon detonation.
-
Again they can tune the damage in pvp without touching pve, theyve tuned grenade damage that way before
-
Not all threadlings deal the same damage. Threadlings that spawn from sources other than the grenade deal significantly less damage aside from the needlestorm super. Threadlings are also extremely easy to avoid. You can shoot them, or you can simply jump away from them when they "arm" themselves to lunge at you.
-
I've addressed that and they can custome tune them individually necessary for pvp, I've not much more to say on this. My personal stance is pretty clear. Happy holidays.
-
Your personal stance is asinine because threadings can be dealt with in a multitude of ways as I already outlined. They don't need a damage nerf despite your personal feelings.
-
Really bud, just agree to disagree. You aren't good enough to use them at they're full potential and I'm not responsible to make you understand that. I can't convince every mid player that this is beyond they're skill level. 🤷♀️
-
Someone that is incapable of shooting/avoiding threadlings has no room to talk about "skill level" or in your case....lack thereof. They are a non issue.
-
Where did I say I was incapable. Go on quote me.
-
Your avid and incessant calls for threadling damage nerfs more than implied it.
-
Modifié par Zodleon : 12/21/2023 11:19:23 PMGreat considering you haven't been able to quote me yet, I think we can both agree the .63 trials kd can stop trying to tell the 1.89kd who and what is good yeah? Don't know why yall can't handle someone disagreeing with you, yall act like it's a crime.
-
I was driving home. Also you don't want to talk KD Mr Untested. Stay in your lane. Nobody plays trials or takes it seriously. Once I get my sht I'm out. Back to the topic at hand, you can't handle threadlings that don't even deal damage on par with the grenade version doesn't mean all threadlings need to be nerfed. Learn to shoot or avoid them. Case closed.
-
Also you still haven't quoted me
-
Lmao untested all you got? Scared of cbmm huh. Nah you're bad, you're wrong and you can't accept it. I'm better in you in comp too btw try using numbers. Qp too btw. I disagree see all the above comments for why case closed
-
You don't even play comp but want to bring up irrelevant and outdated numbers lmfao If this were Gears, COD, Battlefield, then KD would hold some significance. Even still, you're trying to brag but with pretty piss poor stats. Stop it. Also you don't know what the world implied means. I don't feel like quoting all of your responses to me. You're pretty awful at pvp. It's OK. Pvp isn't a real mode in this game. It's a gag feature to kill time and get some armor ornaments from time to time.
-
Lmao ah you're one of those, my kd us low so kd doesn't matter. qoute where i said i couldn't handle it My stats can be
piss poor
When you can match them till then you have no room to talk. Why are you pushing this so hard. We don't agree, we aren't going to agree, I've agreed to disagree on the topic. Why are you so upset about it.
-
I'm not upset at all lmao you're the one that got all upset and was like "bUt iM sO gOoD aT tRiAls" you're not and all it takes for me is one day of not going for a cat, quest, ornament set, and actually try for me to get 2.0+ in trials. My team is only a phone call away. It's not that deep lmfao I clearly don't care and neither should you. Next time before you cry nerf to something, learn to differentiate between a grenade and another ability. And stop deluding yourself into thinking that KD in an irrelevant game mode is indicative of understanding how things work in the game. Get ascendant in competitive before you even think about trying to flex anything Mr. UNTESTED lmfao
-
Look dude I'm not reading that I really don't care. Agree to disagree. You can respond if you want or not up to you I'm blocking you either way. There's nothing to be gained from talking with you. Have a good day, and again happy holidays 🙂
