The state of Gambit
Make it what it used to be… bring back all the old maps, and make multiple modes.
Gambit should be best of 3 (75 motes per primeval) like how it used to be.
Gambit prime should be brought back, alongside the reckoning. Bring back all the gambit prime loot and armour, too. That actually gave us something fun to grind. Now it’s just grinding for useless legendaries.

Bungo, this isn’t stupid PvP….it’s Gambit so that right there clearly shows there’s no “consequence” for invading. You can just spam invading. If the racist (real thing, look up the IGN article on Oct 5, 2023) devs at Bungo actually cared they would at least fix the invading system which would go A LONG way to bringing players back to Gambit.

Gambit needs a reason to play Gambit. I don’t mind the game mode but if I am going to play it I need something to chase. Malfeasance is the only decent thing to come out of that game mode.

11 commentairesBest of 3 was awful. I dont mind gambit here and there. It can be fun, but make no mistake it doesn't matter what they change, when any part of the pvp game or community take hold in an activity, it becomes terrible.

I disagree. They don't need to make it like it used to be. They need to keep doing what they doing: leaving it alone. I like the fact they have left gambit alone and let us players that enjoy it just be now. Bungie kept changing so much in gambit, mainly nerfs, trying to attract others to play it, that it was ruining the mode. Since they have let us be and told people that don't enjoy it, they can basically not play it, I've had better matches and more fun in the mode. Only thing I think they need to do is give us more maps and continue to let us be.

1 commentaireI feel like sometimes I don’t give gambit the credit it’s due. So far this season, gilding my dredgen title has been the most exciting thing I have done. I think I kinda like gambit. I’d like to see it get some more love from the devs, especially since PvP doesn’t.

It is how it is now because people said it took too long but if they make it longer again then it should drop more loot. The problem with gambit is PVE players don’t like it and pvp players don’t get enough PVP action out of it

Gambit was definitely better during Forsaken - although the whole invader thing was always an issue and of course, the players using cheats, cheeses, exploits. But it would seem the player base isn't there to support much more. They are bringing back the Dreaming City map and are adding new enemies next year. So they're doing something.

Gambit should be deleted to free up assets for updating the other core modes or for creating something new.

I did read the Dreaming City map is coming back next season I believe. But yeah, Gambit could be better with just a little love from the Bungie Team.
