Opinions on Remnant 2?
Remnant 2 looks like an EDF/DOOM/left4dead 3 way, it looks cool but the gameplay I've seen is not exciting me at all... Anyone played this yet? Recommendations appreciated but taken with a grain of salt.

Improves on everything the first one did, combat is better, there's lots of unique weapons, you can mix two of your archetypes (the equivalent to destiny's classes) and it looks amazing. But the best thing for me are the secrets, they're everywhere and don't seem to have an end. The game is challenging though, even on the easiest difficulty you'll be dying a lot until you figure things out.

Modifié par Sumpig-2 : 7/27/2023 7:01:37 PMI loved the first one, and so far the second has been pretty good (been playing since Tuesday) It's basically Dark Souls with gunplay Some of the characters are a little annoying and the story is ... ok. Haven't finished the game yet though. (However some of the voice actors are phenomenal. Usually the smaller roles.) But I'm here for the gameplay, and the bosses are much better than the first game. From what I've seen, multiplayer is pretty good as well. The maps are huge. I remember how Remnant:FTA maps usually had one or two side objectives per main tileset, however these have side objectives in the side objective tilesets. Which was neat. Also there's like two completely different storylines and bosses you could get when you enter a world. Lots more weapons and classes this time around, unfortunately less traits as well as a trait cap, so no quick hands trait for reload speed (there's other ways to boost that tho), and you can only max 6 traits. All in all, fun game so far. I've been waking up early to play it.

I played the first one a bit but sadly due to friends playing more had everything spoiled. I’ll get the second eventually as I’m busy with other stuff, but play it in isolation.

7 commentairesI really love the first one, but the second isn’t playable on my Xbox because I haven’t upgraded to the X/S yet. As far as the first one goes, though, it’s my go-to game whenever I’m wanting to play a shooty shooty pew pew game. It’s got solid gunplay, but its real advantage is that all its levels are randomly generated, so if you’re ever in the mood to shoot stuff, you can just start a new level & have fun. There’s a mode where you grind out gear, and carry it over to the other levels, as well as a mode where you start with nothing, and buy your gear as you go through a sequence of levels Roguelike style. It’s really fun. However, be warned the story is awful. Absolute garbage. Though again, this is all the first one. As long as the second didn’t screw anything up, though, it’s probably just as good. Hopefully better. :p
