Took away the power grind, as asinine as it was it gave me a reason to play strikes, crucible, raids, rotators and even gambit. Now its gone I do the 10 minute weekly story and 3 dungeon clears which will stop when I get the exotic

I mean, if the power level grind is the only content you cared about, it really shows how hollow this game is.
-
absolutely this...no incentive to play anymore!
-
Yeah I've noticed in strikes its literally just new players & mm is very slow. Gambit too takes ages to mm. Thought it weird at first how people get lost or don't know strike mechanics then started looking at who I'm paired with. 1 guy yesterday died 18 times in a hero nightfall, so frustrating watching do the same thing over & over like hitting an umstop with an empty ammo sword or standing in the open shooting novota with a sidearm witt exploder thrall all around him. Game feels tedious
-
-blam!-, next time clip that -blam!- I need to laugh lol
-
Checked his loadout, no champion mods, 4 resilience, fully masterworked armour & guns with -blam!- stats, kept dying to the same things. Stopped reviving him after like 12 deaths, I died 3-4 times trying to revive him
-
…4 resilience?….lol holy -blam!-
-
I'm on newish account so see all-sorts as it matches on power level give or take a few points. It's wild in the 1700s lol. Remember 1 guy not long ago, fully masterworked armour, fully masterworked guns, not 1 single mod equipped on anything, nothing, zero. Used to check him every now & then to see if he was trolling, nah guy was legit just dumb
-
Either dumb or has no idea about how things work since there's not much explanation about the game
-
Exactly, & this is why the difficulty changes & removal of things like adept nightfall are stupid decisions. Legit new players have very little chance to succeed.
-
Lol that’s too funny
-
Lol that’s too funny
To be fair, I don't think the game explains to new players just why anti champion mods are important.
-
Still remember starting a brand new acc in destiny 1, hitting power cap, I think it was 400, before ever touching PvP, & wanted something from banner so went in. Sbmm was strong & I was put in a lobby with max level potatoes, guys who didint know what radar was, the guys who ADS & have no clue you're stood near them. I didn't realise how bad players could be until then. There's not much common sense out there these days
-
Shows how empty the game is if not padded thick with power grind and pinnacle
-
Yeah no yeah that was one of the good changes.
-
Strongly disagree, no reason to play any content now
-
Strongestlyer disagree, ‘‘twas artificial content. Would make sense to keep it if it meant we were actually getting stronger, we aren’t. We’re capped.
-
100% artificial content, however they made it content years ago, & built content around it. They've removed it & replaced it with nothing, leaving a huge void. It's resulted in killing the playlists dead. Strikes are now populated by new players who don't know which way to go, gambit is -blam!-, guys who bank 1 mote & hide from blockers, never seen as many games where 1 team wins & other has no, or very few motes, since gambit began. I banked 45 motes today, and we ended up with 0, 5 large blockers at the bank, & my 3 guys are hiding behind rocks carrying 2 motes each. Yesterday 1 guy i was with died 18 times in a hero nightfall. It's not their fault, just not enough players
-
It’s odd when people say dead when matchmaking takes like two seconds. I know a game is dead when matchmaking takes forever. D1 pvp on the ps4? Dead. Anthem? Dead. Nah, it’s summer and new players are trying the game. Yesterday I got all sorts of players. Noobs and toxic 1820+ rank 11s. Loved playing with the noobs way more. Blame bungie all y’all want, and in some cases rightfully so, but player are killing the game also.
-
I've played this game since day 1, this morning's 4-5 min wait times for gambit , on gambit week, is not good, it's never been like this. Strikes take a couple of mins too. Think it may be server issues or mm issues
-
How long do you think I’ve played the game? And how far back do people look?
-
Doesn't concern me how long you've played the game, it's not important. My point was I've played a hell of a lot & mm has never been this slow (for me), it wasn't a biggest d##k competition, I know people do that on here but not me. Where are you from? Location may be at play.
-
Lol. My kind of guardian. Nah maybe my connection is just good.
-
I'm on gigabyte business internet, reason I asked your location is bcoz destiny in Europe on console is kinda dead, D2 didn't sell well even in 2018, it's all FIFA & cod. PC is the biggest platform here, psn is kinda close & Xbox is desolate. Whereas the US has double the player count.
-
Oh that explains it. I’m in Minneapolis. That could be it.
-
Thought so, I've seen crucible in America & it's a different game no joke. You guys have all the players & are landlocked which helps stability. Outside America lobbies are spread from the UK to Russia, there's often 2 oceans between players, lots of countries with very poor internet, and there's a huge crossplay desync issue that's compounded on Xbox here bcoz 10 of every 12 players are on psn, whereas the us is a 50/50 split it's more like 85/15 here. Only 3% of the UK is on true fibre & most countries don't even hit that. It's why starfield is appealing to me, it's almost destiny with crucible, gambit & error codes :)
