As someone who has very rarely dabbled with trials, I was excited about the idea of, due to matchmaking changes, being able to play trials without the need to go flawless, but be able to chill in the practice pool and earn some gear. I spent some time in the playlist a few weeks ago for burnout, and again for distant shore. I had fun with these maps, I lost more games than I won but I felt I was able to gain rep at a reasonable rate and earn some engrams. Then this week, I saw double rep and was keen to get into Trials again. Won my first game and was hyped for more. Fast forward to 8 games total and I am not sure I want to play trials again. Not because I went 6 losses for 2 wins (although that was demotivating for sure), but because apparently, for me to win, the matchmaking felt the need to match me with the sweatiest tryhards who had already gone flawless 3x that week, and were private messaging me to uninstall the game because I am "trash". If this is the price of a win, and earning some rep and some gear, I am not interested. I so want a place where I can just play solo-casual PVP and earn some real rewards but since D1, time after time, I have not found the experience I am looking for.

1 commentaireYoure getting farmed by sweaty top 5% players resetting their cards to get easy wins.

The only ‘trash’ my friend, are the ones that send you those messages and imbue a video game with some importance it doesn’t deserve. It is probably the pinnacle of their lives, this meaningless ‘achievement’, whilst you, I hope, are destined for greater things.

1 commentairehttps://i.imgur.com/z5Q4935.png This is trials matchmaking. It's crap and not worth the time normally. Only reason I play is that it's gives Platinum Medallions and I get a Silver every time.

1 commentaireTbh depends on the weapon that week. Trials was fun and easy the week immortal was the weapon. The following week was the bow. That week was annoying. Only sweats play every week all day. Just choose a week that has a weapon that will have a lot of people playing.

yeah bungie needs to work on skill-based matchmaking

1 commentaireIt’s dog -blam!-. Just say that.

Was great fun hopping on trials the first weekend of the season and in MY FIRST MATCH I, who has never once been to the lighthouse, was matched against three people with adept The Immortals.
-
Trials is dead and bungie has no idea how to make it better for people. It’s just not good.
-
The solution is simple really, stop playing, like right now. They can't flex unless you pve players play. Whenever these imbeciles face a fraction of competition they cry like new born babies. Reddit had thread breaking down trials matchmaking, I would encourage you all to read it

I was told last night I was 0.5 in trials ….I’m like duh! I hardly touch that mode and when I do it’s just too frustrating so nope! Quickplay is ridiculous at the moment , over the last 3 weeks feels different but can’t put my finger on it . It’s just gane on for every game now. Stomp or be stomped. The worst factor is people quitting …also noticing same people ….just ruins the flow of the game .

Would play trials just becuz of the immortal smg. I don't normally run smgs, mostly scout rifles and such. Don't care flawless runs and stuff, just there to collect random weapons and gears, I do get annoyed seeing my collections are kinda empty at the moment. It does bug me too xD

12 commentairesAnd in a nutshell this is why I don't play trials. Sweaty PVPers are toxic as hell. They are the same ones crying about SBMM.
-
Why are people playing trials then getting surprised at how sweaty it is?

2 commentairesI'm not that good at trials. I'm not super terrible, but now I'm literally not even getting any good team mates. The last 3 games I played I'm the only one on my team even getting a positive k/d in the practice pool. And it's almost always a loss by a large now. No one will play with me bc my k/d. Try to boos my k/d by myself and "last guardian standing" almost as soon as the game starts. I legit just want the immortal but I'm not even able to make a quick couple games bc I just cannot get a group. Or be lucky enough to match with atleast one decent player. It's worse than it ever was. I'm going to start playing other things again soon if my luck doesn't change in general with destiny. CoD had been way better to me in terms of pvp.

34 commentairesTrials is not supposed to be easy. It's end game pvp. If there were SBMM, all you robots were put up against eachother, and some of you would go flawless... and that feels really shitty for a person like me who has busted his butt over the years to improve and become a top player.
-
If you want to avoid people who've already gone flawless, you can play on like Sunday or Monday once the flawless pool starts I think. I don't really remember how it works, but I'm pretty sure they separate the pool on those days. I encourage you to keep playing trials though, don't let a bad play session ruin it for you!
-
well trials is for the best of the best not everyone should win and that's the problem people thinking they should win no matter what that is a horrible way to play endgame pvp
-
When you don't use paragraphs, people are going to think you're a psycho...
-
The practice pool was only for one weekend. It’ll be implemented next season. The matchmaking this week is back to how it’s been for a while.
-
Lmao I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm terrible at trails and I stay in my lane which is pve. To those guys calling you trash they are why the community looks bad on both sides pvp and pve. I hope you can find some enjoyment somewhere because gaming is meant to be fun and entertaining.

I am a noob in trials, tried it for first time last weekend. I died a lot, until I started to defend myself, and even found a good teammate that added me as a friend saying I was good considering I was playing with “bad” weapons and low light. Trials should be challenging, is pretty amAzing to see how good are some players there.
-
This is what trials has come to? Regular players complaining about trials? Regular players never played trials to begin with. Only the best of the best tried it. Now everyone plays, but not everyone is elite. Not as prestigious as it once was.

Somehow I went flawless today, solo queue!!! Lol 😆 couldn’t believe it. I think it’s just the timing of matchmaking, if only sweatlords on its going to be terrible, some of those dudes haven’t been outside since the fall equinox!!! They just need to rework it all!
