Steam Account needs authentication for cross save, but the account has been deleted for years
As stated in the title of the post, I hooked up my xbox account to my steam account when cross save first came out even though I didn't even play on pc back then, and a lot of time has passed since then and i have even deleted and recreated my steam account under the same email address, the problem however is that I cannot authenticate in the cross save tab because the account literally does not exist. I would like to link my xbox account to my current steam account and start playing again. Can anyone help me out?

6 commentairesHi there. Under no circumstance will Bungie forcefully unlink an account or disable Cross Save. You will need to contact Steam Support to see if they can recover the account for you. If not, the Cross Save is permanent.

4 commentairesBungie does not store the login credentials for literally 100's of thousands if not millions of players many of whom have 2 or 3 accounts linked to each cross save. It would be impossible to archive/retrieve if such a database even existed. You and Steam were the only ones who had the information you now seek. Neither of you has access to it and such it shall stay locked for eternity.
