Everyone agrees that crucible needs some changes but majority of posts have no genuine feedback or suggestions. So please use this post to voice actual feasible changes you think would improve the crucible experience, from sweat to scrub I want to hear changes YOU would make if you were in charge of Destiny PvP (hurr durr not worth it delete crucible replies will simply be ignored soz not soz). I'll go first :
- re introduction of playlists with 3 categories, casual, competitive, social. Casual would consist of modes such as control, clash, zone control ect. While being focussed purely on CBMM. Competitive would consist of survival, elimination and showdown while being focussed purely on SBMM and within this playlist there will be 0 heavy spawns. Finally social would contain dumb fun modes such as scorched, mayham and potentially rift again focussed on CBMM.
- Still be able to launch specific modes to find a match even though the playlists are there, this would be necessary for things like rumble as well as making sure you can play whatever mode you want if you're not into playlists.
- Iron banner would rotate gamemodes every day of which it is available on reset, it can be any of the 6v6 modes. Iron banner gets new armour every 2-3 seasons.
- Trials has a chance to award trials specific gear and weapons at the end of a match win or lose so long as the card the player is using is at 3 wins or above.
- lighthouse drops from trials still consist of the normal adept weapons ect however the lighthouse chest will award players with 1 (2 if you're running a confidence card) armour ornament to distinguish the effort of going flawless from the ease of farming armour at 3 wins. These ornaments will be refreshed once every 3 seasons. Finally wearing a specific emblem will not be required to change the glow of your trials gear/guns and will simply be selectable from their inspect screen

In am particular order: -Dedicated servers -High tick rate servers -Better team balancing -Disabling or considerably limiting abilities and exotic weapons and armor in the Competitive playlist to encourage more team and gunplay as well as prohibiting the use of two or more of a single subclass -More Halo style weapons to promote more advanced movement and accurate hip fire -Consistent damage numbers for shotguns rather than RNG based damage -Increase flinch significantly for snipers and linear fusions so shooting accurately through flinch becomes impossible -Official seasonal leaderboards and ELO rankings -Officially sanctioned tournaments -Make Clash a permanent mode -Map voting

SBMM. Map voting. Part of me wonders if Crucible should be completely separated with different loot…coz just imagine how cool abilities and exotic armor and weapons could be in pve if pvp was taken out of the equation.

1. Tell the streamers to eat a bag of d*cks and stop listening to them for feedback. PvP is specifically designed for them to make clip videos where they look like heroes. What's worse is that people actually believe that nonsense. Watching YTers bully new lights and bottom 30% players for views is disgusting. 2. Put the prestige behind ranked, hardcore SBMM. Normalize that rank means you're good, not artificially inflated KD numbers from stacking in an exploitable CBMM system. 3. Remove or gate all bounties that don't encourage team play. For example, the only place you can do kill bounties is in clash. Control bounties should only be "capture zones" or "get kills with zone advantage" or "capture all 3 zones in a single game of control". 4. Trials of Osiris is toxic garbage and should be permanently removed. 5. Dedicated servers. 6. Make more objective game modes where kills don't count toward score at all. Otherwise, any PvP mode just becomes some form clash. 7. Mayhem and momentum control should be permanent game modes, as they are more fun than the base game modes. 8. Do something, anything to insulate new players until they've been allowed to play the game long enough to understand what's going on. "Goodness, PvP sucks" is the first negative feedback I've heard from 100% of the people I've introduced this game to. Being farmed by sweat stacks with God rolled meta weapons and armor is NOT FUN and it does not make anybody a better player.

I'd say for trials make it a week long thing but turn on the flawless pool on Friday evening sbmm is trash for players load times in top tiers so maybe have a sub system instead like how comp worked depending on how many points you had you would play people in the same bracket

Give everyone the same weapons and abilities that participate, then skills come in to play. But you know what it is, i see poeple shoot true walls (after the artifact mod being disabled) There is a see true wall in one of the map where you spawn, i see the guy looking true it and shoot me. Yeah then you can do what you want.

[b][u]Bring back SBMM dear god, that would fix 95% of issues.[/u][/b] I started playing at the tail end of Dawn and liked pvp. At the end of worthy i was pretty consistently at a 1.2K/D CBMM rolled around and it -blam!- halfed to 0.6, and I don't think I suddenly forgot how to aim my guns. What happened is that suddenly I had to deal with people so far out of my league that nothing I did for tactics made any sort of difference in performance. And that's the main issue imo in CBMM: if you're not a dedicated pvp sweat, the skill gap is so large that it's no longer something you can brdige. You can't learn how to play better pvp if anything you try out in playstyle makes no difference because you're up at t(by now) triple guilded Unbroken/Flawless peeps. Which makes pvp frustrating as -blam!-. Which makes people leave. Which makes the mode die. I made a new character a while ago, and starting pvp on Hunter was an experience, and not a good one, and i [i]knew[/i] at the very least how the modes work. Imagine being entirely new to the game, maybe even new to pvp as a thing, and the first match you do is a round of control against a 4 stack of Flawless players. How high do you think are the odds of that newbie coming back to pvp? Aside from that: do something to deal with the -blam!- dominance of shotguns and handcanons. HCs should not be long range - or even middle range - weapons as they are right now. It would allow for more variety in playstyle and weapon choice do something about spawn camping. Not a longer respawn time, that sucked immensely (and sucks immensely in rift, good grief), but an immunity, not just an overshield. You spawn in and the entire spawn animation you're completely immune, and then two more seconds you stay immune, to get moving so that people can't do that thing that some maps allow where you set someone with DMT up to just cover spawn entirely. Let people have at least a chance to get out of the line of sight that they can SEE but cannot avoid because the spawn animation takes as long as it takes. and very much personal: bring back supremacy, i like picking shinies off the ground

More game modes like Rift that are actually competitive. Requiring team play and thought is a good thing, no matter how much the community cries about it.

Though this, combined with other connectivity things, might make matchmaking take longer, but I'd rather wait longer for balance, than rush into what we have currently. - 2 shot kills for all snipers and shotguns, one for shield, one for health. They should be hard to use so they don't overrun everything. [b][i]Alternatively[/i][/b] - Add alot of sway to sniper scopes, no short range scopes, because its a sniper. They should be cumbersome and harder to move and ready up. They are meant for long range precision, in a stationary position, that's it. If a person wants a mid - long range weapon, with a shorter zoom, then use a scout, that's it's purpose. - Short ranges on fusion rifles. A rifle is a mid to long range engagement weapon, depending on context [i](assault, scout, sniper)[/i] but for the sake of balance they need to be short range. They have that charge time that often works to the opposing player's advantage, so being one shot isn't unreasonable. Plus, single bolts can miss, losing damage. - Tune down precision hand cannons, a little more kick; they should also be hard to use so they don't overrun everything given their power. Two tapping is fine, but it should be earned. Currently the rapid fire hand cannons are fairly balanced, but the others not so much. Even Palindrome two shots me. - Make rewards worth it for anything crucible. Playing against other humans is as hard as it gets, because we can all adapt without all the extra money spent, and coding that the game would need to try to do that. Crucible weapons should be high tier drops, like dual perks in either, or both right columns. - Only one heavy ammo spawn, mid match for anything, per team. Why its available at the start of a match is beyond me, but they should require heavy limitation. I expect nothing but downvotes and insults because I gave valid, thought through input, and too many people don't seem to like or want that because they think everything should be simple. When dealing with people and preferences, nothing is simple, that's just a fact of life. Also, I like OP's suggestions.

I'd bring back skirmish as a valor-based 3v3 mode and maybe combined arms. Maybe add a 4v4 queue. I'd add a queue for 6 stacks in valor modes Special ammo economy is fine now that scavenger mods don't work. I find myself using my primary more often while not leaving my special weapon completely unused due to lack of ammunition because while it's not plentiful, the ammo is still there on occasion. If another step is absolutely necessary then special ammo should drop only from primary weapon kills, and maybe reduce the amount of time it stays on the ground after a kill. Other than that I think the Crucible is in an alright spot.
