I am french.
I am chocked to not being able to redo Destiny 2 from the beginning, the original one!
Red war... deleted
Osiris.... deleted
Forsaken... deleted
...
I bought all of them!
It's as if the last DLC is a 3rd game of the franchise.
Is it too much to hope to get at least an off line campaign of Destiny 2?

1 commentaireYet you can boot up D1,a 2014 Game, and replay all the content from the vanilla story to age of triumph (I have done it with 3 alt accounts getting all characters to 400 on each one ) And think next year Shadowkeep will be Gone, Beyond Light After, in what game have you rented Expansions, I know someone claiming to be an expert in mmos will chime in saying this is normal for online games, but its not, you can still play all of Warcrafts expansions, you can still play all of ESOs expansions. "But they do it to keep the file size down for older consoles" , looks at CODs 200 gig on PS4, and it runs fine If there engine is so outdated they have to remove content to get it to run smoother, then they should bite the bullet and make a full sequel with a new engine, they have no excuses not to now, they say they want to keep Destiny going even after there new IP releases, then they need to refresh it

"Is it too much to hope to get at least an off line campaign of Destiny 2?" I hope so. Even if just for game preservation have some offline version of Destiny with all (or most) of its legacy content. Lets be real though if Bungie were to do something like that it would come after Destiny.

1 commentaireYou bought access to a live game, which is subject to change.

3 commentairesI still laugh a little inside whenever I'm at a game store and I see D2 on sale. Just think. The disc has all the stuff from the Red War on it, but because you have to update the game in order to play it which removes more than half of that content, you're not getting the full experience you paid for. I feel so bad for game stores who probably have hundreds of D2 discs in their back room, but because half the content is unplayable they can't sell any.

Modifié par JazzyPaladin477 : 4/13/2022 9:37:27 PMShould have a system where the campaign you are currently completing plus the two previous are always loaded, things older then that auto-vault. Let people ply through at their own pace. Like back in the day when games spanned multiple cd’s and you just popped in the one for the relevant part of the game. The new light experience sucks now. I picked up d1 2 years late and was able to play through all of the content, it was fabulous(on that note, I still can!!!)

It’s not too much to hope. You can hope all you want. Doesn’t mean Bungie will do it. It’s probably the least of their concerns right now. But after they hire and onboard a bunch of new developer talent they could put a small team on curating a legacy campaign, you download and launch separate from the main and current D2 game.

2 commentairesModifié par LikwiD_SmOkE22 : 4/14/2022 6:48:16 AMYou purchased a license to access the content of this game. You don't actually own anything. It's 4 year old content there really wasnt any reason to keep it in the game. However what they could do is use the legends tab where vault of glass is & put all the story missions that have been removed from the game so new players can experience them. Same thing for older players like yourself who have completed them but would just like to run through them again because you enjoyed them.

When red war and osiris were active, first nobody played them, and 2nd, except for the replayable mission, your only choice was to create a new character or delete and create a new character so you could do the campaign again. Same thing with forsaken, shadowkeep and beyond light. Finally with wq you can replay the campaign without having to use a new character. As far as offline version, this game requires a full online connection at all times, so while a good idea on paper, I don't think it will ever happen. What bungie should do I believe is add like a summarized version of sunset campaigns to the new light experience. Like taking away all the fat and leaving just the important key points of those expansions.

Legendary campaign rotation each season? Maybe? What do you think?

2 commentairesI'm so glad osiris dlc has gone.. it was simply the worst.

5 commentairesSeriously with cloud technology we should have all our content... I think it's more of biting their thumbs at Activision to why they took away trials of the nine, the more entertaining and challenging gambit, the Ole crowns on our heads for doing hard nightfall. I'm hoping the pyramids somehow reset time and we get drop back into d2 vanilla for a year. Lol

5 commentairesSony finally announced that god of war will be the last of their exclusive properties that will be made compatible with ps4 If that change applies to bungie maybe final shape (light fall might still be too soon for big parts of the customer base) might end their support for ps4 and Xbox1. And without needing to make the game playable on 2013 tech they could maybe reintroduce the legacy content and let the game become fat in terms of file size Otherwise so long as they are going to let people keep playing on legacy consoles they should sunset MORE stuff. Loading times since the 30th anniversary came out are back to being as bad as they were in season of arrival. They kept the dreaming city in the game but wq literally has no content that takes place there, it should have been sunset with the tangled shore

Interesting take.

This would be good
