This is such an exaggeration of a minuscule issue.
What activities are you talking about where we are “forced” to use what Bungie wants us to?
The way they have it set it, each season SPOTLIGHTS different weapon archetypes to try out yet you are acting like it’s the end of the world if you change your gear.
Also the only activities you NEED them are solo lost sectors and GM nightfalls.
That’s only two activities in the entire game yet you all cry that you are being oppressed.

GMs are fine because you have access to 9 guns, but the limitations to solo lost sectors (which btw, I’ll remind they LOCKED the new exotics behind EVERY time) you only have access to 3. That is why it is a horrible design and why me and many other people detest and hate these limitations.

Wow. People have been crying for years for a dedicated way to grind exotics and now that they added it, you say they are “locking” them behind them. This is pure delusion at its finest right here.

*sigh* People asked for transmog and look what we got. Just because people ask for something, and it gets “added”, does not automatically mean it is a good thing. If that is how the process of determining what is “good” and “bad”, I fear greatly for the mindset of people. 😞

Yeah you have to think and try new load outs, and what weapons to use. You know what it is when they uhm force you to use weapons out of your comfort zone, its a good way to grow in the game. You get a bit uhm allround.

They play games to have fun and not be reminded of how society is continually forcing them to do things THEIR WAY. Personally for me, I do work through it. But the issue is as soon as I get the exotics, I never play them again. Because it’s a very very very limiting and poor design and is not fun at all. But I have no life, I have the time and energy to beat my head in frustration and anger using weapons I dislike to get an exotic locked behind poor design choices, not everyone has the stamina nor time that I do to do that, nor do they have the stupidity level that I have to continually do something they detest for a mid reward, they either play something else or leave. What happens when the apathy level rises, because they can’t get a reward or their time playing they don’t enjoy it because of the many artificial (and then exacerbated by the toxic gatekeepers who do the devs dirty work of shaming people who don’t play the “correct way”, so the devs can stay innocent.) limitations and they run out of content to do? People leave. Do we really want less people? I personally do not. (Even with me having less time, because I’m poor and can’t buy TWQ, at least I can still do the weapon crafting, so that gives me something to chase.) Remember, we’re shiny chasers, we’re not like the bell curve of people. We are fine with punishing ourselves with pain of gambling and toxic people and destroying our our cells through stress just for the dopamine hit of a new shiny, not everyone else is like us. We can’t just limit our thinking, thinking we are the only type of players in this game. Thought we were supposed to be more inclusive, not exclusive? Maybe I missed the memo change 🤷🏻♂️

What are you even talking about? Literally the most powerful builds right now ARE linear fusions which have anti champ mods. Either you are replying to the wrong person or you are completely delusional.

Builds, builds that involve glove mods. That's what I'm talking about. Open the mods section and look under arms there is a bunch of mods that you can use along with your other mods to do certain things. You're not able to use any of those if you want to do end game activities because you have to take them off in order to apply champion mods.

Come on man. We both know your reply is completely idiotic. First of all, linear fusions aren't "a build", they're a weapon type, and particle deconstruction is going away along with unstoppable fusions, meaning you most likely wont be using them in a GM any time soon. That was the problem the OP is trying to highlight. The fact that we're only allowed to use specific weapons each season

That's not exactly my gripe. Sure you must use X Y or Z... But... in order to make X Y or Z work you have to remove your glove mods and use champion mods...AND... champion mods cost 1 point each. It's a triple whammy.
