Get rid of Flawless Matching
Now, to start this post off, I just want to say I think I am an above average player in PvP and I'd like to make a comment on the new "flawless matching". Last week in Trials, me and my friend were able to carry 3 people to the lighthouse, we had a great time, whereas before, we weren't able to even go flawless. All in all I will say that last week was easily the most enjoyable time I've ever had in trials. Now this week Bungie has introduced "flawless matching", and I think it is absolutely an abysmal thing to do. I understand the concept but the execution is very poor. Now lets say you get carried to the lighthouse and you aren't a very good player, now you are stuck in this "flawless matching", and you will more than likely get raw dogged by every team you play making trials a very poor experience. Whereas last week trials, you could get to seven wins and still win and get loot. Only 25% of the players last week were able to go flawless i think that is still a very small margin of people that there was no reason to touch trials. Also given that the map choice this week is also very bad. I think all in all, Bungie need to go back to how trials was last week, and no I'm not wanting trials to be easier, I want more opportunity and help others reach the lighthouse for their first time also. Thank you for reading my rant about this weeks trials and hope to see some changes made!

I think the flawless pool should be per character. It really won't effect the ultra sweats since they're gonna get multiple flawless cards per weekend anyways, but it could help the middle-tier players get multiple runs and it could help low-tier players get in on more of the action.

Guess what, if the keep trying THEY WONT NEED YOUR HELP, OR ANYONE ELSES HELP. They will go flawless on thier own with teammates of similar skill!

The main argument people are giving is “oh but what about the people that get carried to Flawless, they’re screwed for the rest of the weekend!” So? Who cares?? They get a free Flawless, be grateful with that and stfu.

So you enjoyed stomping people to get that flawless runs while hiding behind the facade of “oh i was helping players to the lighthouse…” then youre mad because you actually gotta play harder….i see ….gotcha….i get it…..

Maybe the reason you were able to go flawless was because you were matched against non flawless players as per matchmaking. As you stated you were never able to go flawless before probably because of matchmaking putting you up against flawless players. So maybe the matchmaking is good

The carries are the exact reason behind this change. So players able to go flawless can either choose to carry only 2 people, or attempt the daunting task of trying to carry against higher skilled players. Or the person being carried can try to go flawless without someone helping to do the work.

Modifié par Joulevette12 : 9/18/2021 9:54:59 PMSorry but at this point it is not the system it's the high tier players and streamers sorry randoms do not want to be Cannon fodder for flawless and stacked players this was a issue last time when all the flawless players farmed low skill players that was trying to get Shayura's wrath and Igneous Hammer on the 3 win and then reset while low skill player had to rely on the End Game Bounty while being farmed or forced to map jump this is also one of the many causes for the Crazy Win trading incident that happened

Bungie has now made it as even a playing field as possible where after your first flawless you are 'elevated' out of the general pool and pitted against against other flawless players. This in turn enables more players a chance at flawless each week and actually makes it somewhat a competitive game mode as opposed to a novice farming game mode. IMO it needs a flawless leaderboard with rewards unlocking for teams that carry the most flawless runs over the weekend. Once a few improvements are made to Trials I might eventually jump in myself. But as it stands Im not going to jump in to be fodder for seasoned flawless players to farm

First time I’ve ever been flawless. I played several games in the flawless pool and it was fun. Won some, lost some. All good games tho.

Honestly flawless matchamking can work with 2 changes: 1) Make it per character not account based. 2)Make it to when you go flawless you can still farm for the adept weapon for the week by playing games after flawless even if your card becomes 'flawed' post 7 wins.

I disagree. If they added a separate pool for people who have been flawless that week that’s a good thing. Before these changes I can’t tell you how often I’d be trying to carry someone who had never been flawless and had our cards ruined by team that had been flawless dozens of times that weekend. Like you said it’s so much easier to go flawless now than before so be thankful for that instead of acting entitled to several easy flawless runs a week.

Not going to happen and shouldn’t happen. I’ve always advocated for a flawless vs flawless tier once an account has been to the Lighthouse for the 1st time that week. The big picture you fail to see is that more players will go flawless at least 1 time each week. Many players who have gone flawless won’t be able to do this multiple times given the stiffer competition. What benefits the majority of players is ultimately good for the game. Now go play with your Barbies if you don’t like being matched against other flawless players.

1 commentaireThey should take the flawless pool concept even farther to further sort out the wheat from the chaff ... or wolves from the sheep. "Flawless" run counts should remain throughout the season and players should only play against those with a flawless count equal to their own. Go flawless once, matched up with flawless once players Go flawless twice, matched up with flawless twice players and so on Reset it each season. The best will rise up out of the easy kill pool, and more folks will have a chance at Adept weapons by season's end as better players "win out" of the lower flawless pools. That will fix the card reset issue from this weekend, keep the wolves from the sheep (like me) and give the sheep a chance to play long enough to possible become a wolf. If this is really "End Game PvP", then make it so for everyone by making the best players go against the best players. "End Game" isn't a stacked team, fully decked out with Adept gear taking on the likes of me. That doesn't even qualify as a "game".

Your numbers are wrong 25 went flawless bud. And the match making is broken not because of the reasons you gave but because people are now dropping a round just to farm endless -blam!- loot by not getting put into that category where they belong.

4 commentairesI was carried to lighthouse last week by my good friends who were helping everyone. I am happy to give up that privilege so that the teams we stomped, who don't have access to my friends, have a better chance of going Flawless. Fair, won't you say? This is like asking the CEO to do a salary sacrifice so that the janitor of his company can bring food to the table. I'm happy with this logic.

If you get carried to where the high skill players can get, don’t be surprised to be treated like a high skill player.
