Try looking up how many people -ever- cleared a Raid n Destiny 2 , and then reason how thats a good number. Its hillariously bad.
If the number is low, that would be the result of this community being filled with hilariously bad players.

Ah the ever shifting goalpost. Nope, this game is Basic, BAAAASIC, requires very little actual skill to play. The problem is how they constructed their social layer and integration into endgame content and required grinding out mods, weapons, and armor for broken builds to try and synnergize with each seasons changes.

Bad players were always a factor in this discussion. Maybe you should get yourself some friends so you can finally get your first clear in this game that requires very little actual skill to play. https://raid.report/pc/4611686018467962730

Oh no, not a raid report, thus.. proving my point about how desperate you are to feel important. The games broken, and destiny lost 90% of its playerbase. Not because casuals 'ruined' it year 1, but because all the casuals and many of the original fans LEFT because the social layer to D2 is OUTSIDE the game, and has failed to innovate ontop of the gameplay in a meaningful way year after year. I wonder if we're going to fight yet another scaled up basic creature type with context shield again this season... the mind boggles.

This game still averages at least 1.1M players per day. There are plenty of resources available to set up a raid team, yet you have made no attempt to do a raid. If the resources are available and you refuse to use them, that’s on you. That’s your problem.

1.2 (debatable) across 3 platforms. which, if you look at the current numbers wouldnt make sense, because daily PC and Sony have been basicly neck and neck just above xbox at 250k, i dont know how good you are at math, but 250kX3 can not = 1.2m. Meanwhile its beaten out by TF2 and RUST for its spot on the steamcharts. Raid -requires- multiple people due to puzzle mechanics, thats -it- If raids didnt have that one thing, youd have someone soloing it every season. I soloed nightfalls , it was BOORING but I did it for the achievements and gear. The gameplay is basic. Communication can easily be removed through sound cues and visual cues as we've seen in basicly every other successfull MMO, FPS... platformer... Its just the company taking the cheapest route possible for engagement. The art is superb, and the voice acting is wonderful, but when it comes down to actual gameplay fun and mechanics, it falls flat. Thats why it cant maintain 2m a day on any platform and why theyve been trying to shoehorn crossplay on the backend. Its not that - i- refused to use them, (having someone demand money after joining a group is just.. not inviting), its that 90 % of the playerbase they HAD would not use them, because, and I cant stress this enough, that was a STUPID, LAZY Choice of setting up an lfg system. And most people, 90% again, will not download a seaperate app to their phone just to fulfill something that should have been Built Into The Game.
In the time it took you to write this post, you could have made your very own LFG post in this forum’s own “Find Fireteam” section and you’d probably have a full team by now. For communication, you have your own platform’s party chat if you’re on console, or Discord if you’re on console or PC. Like I said, the resources are out there and available to you, you just refuse to use them and that makes it your problem. The only people wanting raid matchmaking are people with very few to no raid clears and are looking for a carry. Quit making excuses.
The only people wanting raid matchmaking are people with very few to no raid clears and are looking for a carry.
Wow, thats just, a Big Brain conclusion. Theres a problem that ran off most of the people they could potentialy make money from, and a common sense complaint that could be addressed, but.. nah lets double down on trying to get people to buy materials for transmog in our innevitable shift of offering quality visuals in game to only through the eververse cash shop. If you cant be bothered to build features into your game, you cant expect people to stick around and continue jumping through hoops to make your game work, again I point to the loss of 90% of their playerbase.
Wow, thats just, a Big Brain conclusion.
This discussion has happened on this forum before, and the only people advocating for raid matchmaking are people with very few to no raid clears. Yourself included. Definitely looking for a carry.
If you cant be bothered to build features into your game, you cant expect people to stick around and continue jumping through hoops to make your game work, again I point to the loss of 90% of their playerbase.
This forum has a Find Fireteam page. LFG exists. Plenty of people have access to resources that allow them to team up with other players for raids. Not having an in-game feature shouldn’t stop you from being able to raid. You’re just lazy, and that’s not a Bungie problem. Plenty of people still do raids every day without in-game matchmaking.
