As per today's Hotfix, Bungie "fixed" the Star Eater Scales and Boots of the Assembler:
Star Eater Scales only applies the damage bonus to Supers. No more weapon damage buff (which, while it was cool, let's be honest it needed to go). Also now needs 8 orbs instead of 4 for maximum charge
Boots of The Assembler: Rift cooldown is completely stopped while a rift is being extended. No more infinite rifts.
Also the bugged out Energy Accelerant mod has been tuned specifically to not effect players. At all. Cuz, you know, PvP.
No changes to the Titan boots, though. Cuz Titans are perfectly balanced and they have no flaws and they're so gosh darn perfect.
Edit: Oh yay, this post is Trending now... really wish it wouldn't only be the negative posts that trend all the time. I made a post a week ago about some potential ideas to change Light Subclasses in a positive way, and that never saw the light of day...
Edit 2: For those who keep citing the 90% buff that Star Eater now has, know that this is not nearly as great as you think it is. You need to learn the difference between "damage" and "DPS". Overall, even with the damage bump, Star Eater is objectively worse than Celestial Nighthawk, as at best it offers the same DPS as Celestial and Falling Star, but with far more setup, and a more strict set of requirements. Nighthawk and Falling Star are still better than Star Eater by a mile. This was not a buff, at least not as much as you thought it was.
Yes, I have seen the Aztecross video and the Ehroar video. My answer remains unchanged: Star Eater is worse than Celestial Nighthawk in terms of raid utility. Celestial is easier to use, requires far less setup, it's faster so you get back to weapon DPS sooner, and with Celestial you KNOW you'll always be ready for a 2nd damage phase, whereas you might not be fully prepared for a 2nd damage phase with Star Eater

Let's assume every Raid team has both one Bubble and one Well of Radiance - that is 6 free orbs for simply walking 5 feet - add a Crit golden gun, and your teammate gives you 2 - 6 orbs, depending on if he has nighthawk or good aim - add a tether and you get some more orbs - add masterwork weapon orbs and boom, double kills from things like salvager's salvo is prevalent - the reworked aeon gloves, Sect of Insight, gives an extra orb for a double kill with precision damage, and it has seen some usage combine all of this with the fact that the time it takes to shoot two extra golden gun shots makes the part about star-eater scales kind of invalid in my opinion

6 commentairesAll of you acting like there’s another exotic other than wormhusk.
-
Titans are perfect don’t you know? If any character approves them they get the nerf hammer
-
2 commentairesAt least they work the titan exotic don’t even work
-
Why? Why we titan main can't have an anti-stasis exotic that make all f u c k revenant speechless because they can't frozen us?

14 commentairesYou want to destroy a boss, star eater all the way. No matter how many orbs it takes.

Titans need their grenades nerfing and they need shorter arms so they cant punch me."

1 commentaireNerf to dps. Major nerf to ease of use. B tier now and vaulted. Will be very niche and useable in lower tier pve.

4 commentairesFor the Hunter Exotic: The buff to all damage was clearly a bug. You think they really intended to give a 15 second 60% buff to all damage that stacks with all other buffs and debuffs? If you think that was intended, you are delusional. As for the increase in stack size, that one hurts, however, the increase to super damage at max stacks is increased to 90%, which still makes them a top tier option for high DPS situations. For the Warlock Exotic: I understand the change, while infinite rifts was fun, it is not intended in the game for obvious reasons. I see this change as putting them in line with other exotics that use class ability such as Mask of Bakris and Icefall Mantles. For the Titan Exotic: It was not released in a broken state, therefore, no nerf was needed. No 60% buff to all damage, no infinite abilities, so no nerf. This isn't a difficult concept to understand, even a Crayon-Eating Titan can understand.

1 commentaireApparently, the increase to super damage from the update was apparently said somewhere by dmg that it is also a bug and will be nerfed back to what it was before. Anyone talking about the 90% damage buff is now irreverent, as it’s going back to it was before. Exotics now been outright destroyed 2 weeks into a season.
-
8 commentairesThe boots now do less per stack but can stack to do higher damage then before. It’s not really a nerf...
-
7 commentairesThat's weird since everyone who actually uses the hunter legs pretty much unanimously agree the nerf was actually a buff.
-
4 commentairesI wouldn’t call it a nerf for Star eaters. They’re just as good if not better now.

2 commentairesModifié par NeoReaper82 : 5/26/2021 7:25:20 PMThe hunter boots got fixed & buffed. It now caps at 90% damage for the super instead of 60%.

1 commentaireNobody cares about your positive post. After being sustained on over hyped content then under delivered to the destiny community is experiencing severe “living in the past while fondly remembering a happier time when the developers cared and didn’t routinely charge us to crap in our open hopeful mouth” symptoms.

14 commentairesI love that Titans get untouched even though theirs is busted in PvP. Notice none of them saying a damn word hoping theirs doesn’t get touched and knowing damn well hunters and warlocks shouldn’t have gotten knocked when their exotic is way more op. Better yet, Titans will act like they need buffs or are underpowered and that Bungie doesn’t care about them.
-
1 commentaireHunters: crying over nerfs to their exotic Bungie: also nerfs warlocks exotic Hunters: forgives Bungie
-
1 commentaireTitans ARE perfectly balanced and have absolutely no flaws.

From what I’ve read, it’s doing more then intended and needs to be looked at.
nibbles crayon
3 commentairesModifié par Freak : 5/26/2021 8:03:27 PMStar Eater got an extra 30% Super Buff and a bug fix. Before it capped at 60%. Now it’s at 90%. I’ll take that “nerf” all day!

2 commentairesThe first part of scales made sense, it was a bug. Second part is stupid as -blam!- and sends us back to the same old Hunter DPS meta we've had for 7 years.
-
2 commentairesShitty company, greedy management, clueless devs nothing new

16 commentairesHunters always get shafted. Warlocks suck so I don’t care. Just delete that character out of existence
-
2 commentairesNot surprising. And while I'm here, I'll just say for the thousandth time... I despise the Legend/Master Lost Sector system to unlock the new exotics. Bungie logic: Do the exact same Lost Sector over and over and over again until you get the ONE reward you're actually after to drop. Fun! So f*cking glad I'm done with this awful game after this year. I'm done. Out. Tired. This game is repetitive garbage for next-to no rewards for the effort. I hope it burns to the ground. All of it.
-
Tbh bungie is ruining our fun it’s god damn ridiculous yes okay infinite rifts being merged okay fair game but stopping you from generating any additional rift energy completely WTF I swear bungie is the reason there game is decaying.
-
5 commentairesFigures. And titan mains want yo say they require skill....yeah the skill of bungie babying the shit out of them.
