I mean, didn't they showed you exactly what will you be getting in those interviews? one new raid, one new destination, some remastered d1 maps and activities and the delay isn't for making more is it? they delay it because they are not able to deliver what they promised in the given time, for all we know beyond light will come with less than expected because they plan to move a portion of new content to the 2 extra months due to the delay.

If beyond light isnt as good as forsaken they definitely will lose the trust of their most fervent players. Especially since the gameplay is getting more and more borring. The primary weapons never felt so damn weak in pve now. Even in y1. (Not talking about patrols or vangard strikes) And im sure they will end up deleting dmg perks on primaries. So we are just going to play with weak weapons that have insane pve perks like "improved handling after a few kills lol" At least the new subclasses may be strong until they realize they are feeling good so those subclass are going to get the blade barrage / nova warp state XD. Honestly...i am afraid of what is going to come. Even if the dlc have an insane story...the gameplay may not keep me playing as long as the beard dwarf keeps thinking "nerfing makes the game harder" When you see endgame gameplay now its just special and heavy ammo spam. Primaries arent used that much as they can take 1 mag to kill some redbars in nightfalls. But lets see. Maybe i am wrong. But either this dlc makes me stay...either ill find a better game.

Forsaken was good. It want THAT good though. Vanilla D2 sucked so bad, anything would be better

I didn't play shadowkeep until a clanmate bought it for me at the end of last year. Man was it underwhelming. Now that pyramids are here but we aren't fighting them until lightfall I fear beyond light and witch queen will be shadowkeep 2.0 and 3.0 I'm so sick of taken and hive. Fallen and vex are so much more interesting imo, the game doesn't do enough with them. GoS was a wash story wise. I'd rather they just put back rise of iron instead of shadowkeep, that had a good story and great raid.

Plus the Ascendant Challenges, Blind Well and weekly Queen story bits. Best Destiny content so far.

Forsaken (seasons 4-7) was my favorite time in this game. Great raid, pinnacle weapons, awesome Exotics. I felt powerful.

I think this goes to show how nostalgia plagues these lands. Because while we are complimenting it NOW, BACK THEN the forums were screaming about infusion costs and having their old weapons be useless

I think there was one key difference between forsaken and shadowkeep that made one great and the other lame. The forsaken and shadowkeep campaigns were actually pretty similar in design, both have a few linear story missions after which it's up to the player to decide what to do next. But imho the biggest place where they differed was in endgame. Forsaken had more exotics to chase post campaign then shadowkeep did, 3 new supers per class, and all on top of 3 more strikes. But thats not what I'm getting at. The dreaming city was Forsaken's endgame area, complete with lore, new weapons and armor, activities, and an expanding story. Shadowkeep, however, lacked this endgame as i felt like its endgame relied on the season of undying pass. The season of undying had a new activity, new set of weapons and armor, new lore, new exotic quests, and an expanding story. Season of undying was like Forsaken's dreaming city. The difference was season of undying was only temporary. So after undying left shadowkeep felt somewhat bare. On top of this due to season of undying being a season pass it seem separate from shadowkeep despite shadowkeep coming with it, making shadowkeep feel further empty even at launch. And thats what made Forsaken feel full of stuff and great, and what made shadowkeep feel empty. Because shadowkeep relied on the season pass for it's endgame and forsaken did not. Thats why I hope that in the next dlc beyond light has an endgame entirely, or atleast mostly, separate from the current season. Luckily based on the fact that beyond light has a standalone version and a version that bundles it with the current season pass I would hope that its endgame doesnt rely on the season pass. However the next season will most likely be linked to the dlc as the strangers rifle can be reasonably assumed to be next seasons season pass weapon. (I can tell because the standalone version doesn't include the strangers rifle but any version of it for purchase that also includes that season seems to also include the strangers rifle + catalyst.)
