So what are most people using as weapons in PvE these days? Well, let's see, Gnawing Hunger, Falling Guillotine, and something else. You need a scout rifle, Night's Watch. Is there a better option for any of these categories? No. But when I'm not in an activity I'm spending half my time deleting useless blue gear, useless legendary gear, decrypting useless umbral engrams, going to the postmaster to get more umbral engrams, to return to the recaster to decrypt and delete, again. Wasting my time. I really love playing Destiny, but I'm starting to wonder if there isn't something else out there. If it's worth it to get the next expansion. Now what will people be using massively in the coming weeks, the new exotic. How exotic is exotic when anyone can have it? Ordinary. Normal. Plain. Boring. You pick up a ball and smash it on the ground. This isn't even a shooter anymore. And that's what I like, shooting at stuff. Too bad.

1 commentairerednayeL you make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

2 commentairesThese forums man, feels bad. Bungie can't win for losing. If one group isn't complaining about there not being enough stuff to do, or not enough loot to grind for, or there being yet another exotic hand cannon then another group full of people like you are complaining about the exact opposite. If you don't like the game Bungie is making then don't play. But Bungie is going to have to pick a lane. Destiny is never going to reach it's fullest potential if they keep trying to please everyone. They need to figure that out, then say this is it. If you don't like, no hard feelings, but there are plenty of games out there. I'm sure you'll find one you like.

5 commentairesModifié par Yosemite Sam : 7/11/2020 3:05:21 PMWithout Activision that some people thought was good that they left, these seasons are your quality content. Without that support now they have to use cut content from the first game and destinations from the first game just to add content to the game. So after Beyond light, it's back to the cheap throwaway content, these seasons that do not benefit the player base at all. Quality content is not what anyone can really expect from this company today. 1. They admitted they don't have the manpower recently. 2. Most of their employees are working on the new game they're creating. 3. They are working with an engine that has issues that has been giving them issues for years now. 4. Most of the talent walked out on them over the years. 5. Management continues to keep making poor decisions because of how selfish they are. 6. The WoW guy doesn't know what he is doing just making matters worse with everything he touches. So, either you deal with it or you don't, this is what this company is offering today.

Sad thing is the absolute smooth brains will complain about content droughts. You know this is a -blam!-ing game right? Having content droughts is fine and actually healthy for the game because it will reduce burnout on the playerbase because of the constant influx of... well in Bungie's case lets just called it 'content'. You don't need a constant influx of 'content' even in a live service game and in Bungie's case they are producing absolute trash and nothing of value is really added to the game. There is the events that happen that can drive some player interest, you don't need constant seasons with repetitive content that adds things of little value to the game. Bungie says they want less FOMO and does the exact opposite of that with Sunsetting, removing content and the current shitty seasonal model. The only time the seasonal model worked was with Forsaken since each season added quite a bit of content that got released every week or two and it was content that added value to the game and wasn't removed at the end of a season.

3 commentairesPS5 coming soon! Launch titles, new cheap games and new free games! I'm not getting the DLC, saving my money for a brighter future.
-
BUNGIE- We hear ya loud and clear buddy have some more bounties.
-
as far as drops go the rng can be pretty brutal sometimes. not sure what the problem is with other peoples loadouts, it's their choice.
-
But they arent even doing quantity.
-
Quantity? What quantity? We are barely getting some quality. But trust me if you haven’t or don’t remember when dlc/season pass dlc time frames in d1 had much more to grind for and get and all quality as well as quantity. Now it’s few things here and there and very little quality. Hell everything this season was re issues you think fall will be different?
-
Yeah don’t be knocking exotics. They are exotic in their execution, not in their rarity...Witherhoard and Effigy are two that Bungie hit out of the park...

You got the cry baby blues 👶👶👶

6 commentairesEhy rednayeL_ =) I understand your point, I really do. It is comprensible, but at the same time I think that it revelas one on the greatest problem that have corroded the community of this beautiful game trhough the years: the idea that only the best of the best is worthy your time. To be clear, yes: I'm talking about Weapons in the PvE ecosystem, not PvP. It is always been like this since... ever? I guess. Only few Weapons reached the TOP and were considerated the BEST, the only worthy to be used in every sitaution. Because when you (not YOU specifically Red, I maen a generic YOU) have the Weapon that can kill everything in the fastest time and the safest way, why on earth should you use something else? I have a very simple asnwer: fun. And yes, I know this isn't an answer that can be considered satisfactory by everyone. Let's take for example Scout Rifles. What's the best Scout Rifle for PvE right now? Night's Watch? Good. The fact that Night's Watch is the best Scout Rifle doesn't mean that this is the only one you should use... let's take for example the old good Oxygen, a Weapon that was never able to shine for many reasons, but still it's pretty fun to use (to me, at least). Or what about the Polaris Lance? Another pretty fun Weapon to use with unique Effects. And so on... The fact that Night's Watch is the best, it doesn't mean you should only search and use that one. Maybe out there there is another Scout Rifle that would be much better for you as feeling, Perks combinations and playstyle ecc. And yes, it wouldn't probably be able to kill enemies fast as Night's Watch, but is this really important? To me, no. But again, I know this may be different for other people. Yeah, Gwawing Hunger it's A GREAT gun right now, but what about just shooting randomly to hordes of enemies with a good Cerberus+1? Not the BEST Auto-Rifle on the plaza, but dang, it is FUN as hell. Maybe the Pluperfect that is stable like a Sword for those who like to use Auto-Rifle from great distances, maybe the Perseverance, for shooting fast and getting personal to Enemies. Guillottine seems cool too (I still don't have it, so I may be wrong), but if you like to obtain good results with little efford, a good Rocket Launcher is still the best choice even if Rocket Launcher are not that great right now. What I'm trying to say is... just because something is the best on the chart, it doesn't mean it must be the best for you. Only because other Weapons are not good as few ones it doesn't mean that they are not worthy your time or your appreciation. Again: I know this isn't an asnwer for everyone. I think that PvE in Destiny 2 is a place where you can really shine even without only using and chasing what the meta says it is "worthy your time". Of course, this is just my philosophy.

The whole point of Sunsetting is to make quantity more important than quality, it's a 180° turn in comparison of the rirual weapon/pinnacle when quality was more important than quantity. Bungie feared that those weapons would make everything else useless, so they sunsetted everything... Pinnacle/ritual weapons did not stoped me to use something else.

14 commentairesThe Ruinous Effigy is actually a really interesting and unique exotic with its perk set. It can be a viable DPS weapon without being overpowered and is quite fun to use. Witherhoard and Ruinous Effigy are actually the most unique exotics we've received in a long time. They are weapons that are more than just PEW PEW BULLETS! If you think that Ruinous Effigy isn't about shooting things you obviously haven't gotten the catalyst yet, and the transmutation sphere has more than just the heavy attack. In my opinion, this season has had the most quality in it since Season of Opulence. We have a freakin BANGIN dungeon. We have 3 weekly story missions that were actually quite fun the first time we ran them. We have a public event that was fun the first 15ish times I ran it. We have uncapped raid loot on the raids so you can farm for cosmetics to your heart's content. Is this content stuff we can play for the entire season? No. I never expected it to be. Because I have rational expectations. It's not a fall expansion. As Bungie no longer has the help of Vicarious Visions it should be quite clear that they no longer have the ability to make content that's replayable for an entire season. Your best bet for having fun is thinking that you will have about 3 weeks of new seasonal content to play. After that, it's either crucible, finishing things you haven't done yet, or playing another game. Which, if you're up to the challenge, you still have plenty to do: https://raid.report/ps/rednayeL If you want help from someone teaching you raids I do sherpas for Last Wish. Seems like you're on playstation though. Good luck!
-
Just imagine shooting mobs to activate all those perks on those weapons to find out they are mostly useless! Hello Vanilla Destiny 1. Bungie knows how to build a shooter engine, but their game develoment sucks. They still don't know how to do story and game.

1 commentaireThe part about wasting so much time dismantling gear is a big reason why I left. A few hours of any activity and I’d wind up with a stuffed postmaster of crap to delete. And that’s after deleting stuff in between matches. Going all over the tower and multiple planets to collect bounties. (Only to run out of room in my inventory...) All that time traveling between destinations ... Doing the postmaster shuffle.... Turns out there were better ways to spend my time, and Destiny wasn’t it anymore.
-
1 commentaireNah F that, I want more quality and more quantity. Tryna have my cake and eat it too.
Now what will people be using massively in the coming weeks, the new exotic. How exotic is exotic when anyone can have it? Ordinary. Normal. Plain. Boring.
What? Exotics have nothing at all to do with who can have it. All Exotics are available to all at some point, even event Exotics get put in the loot pool eventually.

4 commentairesModifié par Corrick II : 7/11/2020 5:09:00 PMI’ve been going back to the Last Wish guns for the last week or two. And the new AR and Pulse aren’t bad. I use all kinds of heavy weapons. It just depends on how you want to play. I will admit though, it gets tiresome to be flooded with engrams that only give you certain items over and over. It makes the loot pool feel incredibly small and stale. Started feeling this with the Vex season, then it just got worse with the Sundial and this latest one. Bungie has been dumping gear on us but it’s all the same stuff. At this point I’m kind of the opposite. If we’re going to get a dump truck full of gear every time we log in, I’d rather it all be different. Just start adding old D1 style gear in the mix, along with any other damn thing, why not.
-
Wdym? This entire season has been more quality over quantity. Hence why we waited 3 weeks to get more content instead of filling that time with recasters to upgrade in different destinations or something
-
Understandable but if that is the case then nothing will ever feel really powerful. We need a lot of bad guns to separate the good ones but if we just constantly keep getting good guns no new gun will feel special. Plus if you say then add more powerful guns that is called power creep because you will indefinitely get better and better guns making anything in this game a cake walk and require no skill. Even on like raid days if you were under leveled. You got guns that are more powerful then mountain top and it is a primary welp that raid boss is gone. So they should add bad guns but still give us good guns at the same time be we need more bad then good to make things actually feel strong.

Nightwatch in PvE? If it has explosive rounds maybe. Otherwise....

4 commentairesWhy the hell would I use Gnawing Hunger for PvE?

Modifié par Knox Knox : 7/12/2020 4:16:10 AMWhy are you even talking about guns?. . . Quality guns?. . . Pffffffft! They said Destiny is now an Action game MMA whatever, game. You must buy Finishers from Eververse with real money thrown at the screen because after "Sunsetting," I think your guns will be sitting in the vault when it expires. Also called Vaulted. So Melee Finishers will be the name of the game and will trump everything with a Magic Card combo kick/punch turn magic chop combo cards! . . . That's gonna be new Meta. Like OP! By the way, don't forget to buy your seasonal Trannymogs Armor too from Eververse. Or else your guardians will be naked next season. They like balls, you know?! Okay, Bungie Bye! #sunsetsunsetting!

2 commentairesThis isn’t meant to be solely a shooter and never was meant to be that way. It’s a a game about shooting/space magic , by this logic do you complain about titan bubbles and blade dancers? If you want a shooter go play a game listed as a shooter, like call of duty or battlefield
